Apocalypse Chow is the title of a book by Jon and Robin Robertson--I got it from half.com out of curiosity.

It's excellent, especially for people who really like good, tasty food with a lot of variety. The authors went through several long power outages after hurricanes and got fed up with eating nasty food, so they devised many recipes for entrees, appetizers, desserts, etc. that only use canned food. One of them is a professional chef. These recipes are so good that I would eat many of them even if the power wasn't out.
They discuss setting up your pantry, what to buy, how to store things, how to cook using minimal fuel, etc. Many of the recipes are really tasty--Thai, Mexican, Chinese, etc.
So, if you can't face the idea of eating nothing but canned tuna or canned soup, check out this book. I put it in my pantry with all my cans and now I'm all set! I think I'll open a  gourmet restaurant when TSHTF. :)

They have sample recipes on their web site, so you can see the kind of foods you can make:

Happy eating!

But does the book have the more (or is that less) traditional apocalyptic recipes? Like Rat Pie? Rat Stew? Spaghetti with Rat Sauce?
Iguana-on-a-stick?

I've been playing Fallout way too long Wink

"Heeeey, me know, ME KNOW! Not fool Harry!" - one of my favorite quotes.

And don't knock Iguana on a stick, that stuff is good. You do know that Fallout 3 is coming out in 17 days right?
