DJ, Since statistics are based on hardly any testing-often only testing a very limited part of the population (elderly ending up in hospitals) statistics -even based on self reporting of (what ???) symptoms may be of decreased value... One XBC.1.6 just showed up from South Korea. The first one outside of Australia. Victoria/Australia uploaded 9 yesterday. Bringing their total to 10! and My best guess, looking at this, is that also New Zealand has a growing amount of XBC.1.6. 20 samples in total, that aren't on GISAID (yet). - XBC.1.6 is now growing in New South Wales as well, not just in South Australia. Be aware that week 13 in NSW is incomplete (about half of the samples), so the graph could very well be different next week. But it still makes me very curious to see what it will show next week!
