   I am grateful to the OG members and mods of this board for providing valid, accurate information at the beginning of the pandemic. 
Unfortunately, Avian Flu Talk has disintegrated into nothing but politics and argument. I wish that weren’t the case, because I think we’ve had a great number of intelligent, analytical people on this board who have great potential. 
I’ve been a lurker for the past several months. In that time, I have seen more people than I want to come either close to dying, or actually die from Covid (even Omicron, which took my co-worker’s father and very nearly killed a 4th grader at the school I work at).  
I’m so sad that we can’t have a rational conversation without descending into anger. I truly do wish all of you the absolute best, with thanks for the help you have provided myself and my family. May you find peace, love, and happiness as you continue your journey through your lives.
