People have rights, AND they have corresponding responsibilities.  In this country, the same people who flaunt their right not to be vaxxed, are the same people who feel they have the "right" to not wear a mask, which would protect them from potential infection from others, as well as potentially protecting others from the unvaxxed, should they become infected.  These people are the same people who are standing on top of you and touching your cart at the grocery store. I'm vaxxed, masked and gloved when I go out, and I'm not terribly interested in being infected by selfish, irresponsible people.  What has happened to the concern/respect for others, community-spiritedness of 75 years ago?  Shameful!

I am the DZ Queen, and I approve this message.

How far do you go? Do you only treat the perfect, who have been unlucky?  Come to that, Is luck something we could breed for?

I get it!  Do away with all medicine, karma says we only get what we deserve.

                       NO!

Help the helpless, whenever you can, whatever reason.  Anything else is morally unsound.

I would love to agree.....

However......I think this only pertains to "your tribe".....

You only have to look at all the wars..... ethnic conflicts, racism,in some places it's only if you can afford to pay.....

We who live in places where there is universal health are lucky,

But I have heard very religious people say ,they should get any medical treatment before any drug addicts......

So when the going gets tough.....

The sick and weak will fall.....

Just nature.....

As I said I don't like being a realist.....

But as I've said many times on here how do we save the destruction of the planet by us humans......

How do we turn off the power plants.... please let me know......!!!!!

It's not possible......

Without mass unemployment and starvation.....

Take care all πŸ˜·πŸ˜‰

I, ME163  Hereby apologize for my transgressions to KIWI and ask for Forgiveness.  I was wrong and being the Man that I am, Admit to my error.   I hope KIWI accepts this apology and that we can all move on from this incident.

My Israel stats were from the following site.

https://www.worldometers.info/coronavirus/country/israel/

if their number of deaths are dropping then that would be proof. Early days still.

Of course. Thank you very much. No harm done.

Those who got it wrong, for whatever reason, may feel defensive and retrench into a position that doesn’t accord with the facts.

I'm really late to this thread, clearly an emotional topic so mostly just sending out good thoughts to everyone.

My 2 cents...
- A dear friend's mom died from Covid last April, so early on in 2020. I was already taking it seriously, but that just further confirmed the severity.

FWIW, I don't usually get the flu shot, with my current lifestyle (mostly at home) the benefits don't outweigh the risks most years. I had a bad reaction many years ago. That decision is based mostly on the adjuvants, not the other parts of the vaccine. When I get it I'm careful to get the one I'm least likely to react to.

With Covid, there was *never* a thought of not getting the vaccine. I *did* consider which one to get, and went with Pfizer. Fortunately that's the one the state first offered me so it worked out perfectly.

I did/do have some mild and manageable side effects from it, but absolutely nothing compared to what could happen with Covid so I don't mention them anywhere. And they've improved over time. TOTALLY WORTH IT.
