What they neglect to say is that her husband is also in quarantine with her.  No reports of when they got back.  No reports on tracing people who were on the plane with them.

This is why it is going to spread we really do not know how long it took to discover this woman and all the people on the plane that could have it and not traced.   They need to give more information because if they are not tracing everyone this is going to speed up fast.

And all those passengers on the plane who were making connector flights to only God knows where, and the crew, we won’t be able to keep up in a few weeks.

Wouldn't it be nice if the US could send out a text like the South Korean government with the Location of the infected person.  Where they were .  The time  etc...

With the CDC changing its reporting practices and FINALLY getting testing kits out to states, I think it will be up to the individual states to keep us posted on the happenings and particulars.   I imagine they'll step in if asked, but ....  I would bet CDC officials are heaving a sigh of relief right now.

The second case was in New York Presbyterian in Bronxville, then transferred to Manhattan.

May have exposed staff

As an aside, he would have been transferred to one of the  NYU Langone hospitals on the east side in midtown.  That's the family of hospitals NYC designated to treat Covid-19.  I believe because they have the most isolation units.  Three that I know of  that have isolation units are Hassenfeld Children's Hospital, Tisch Hospital and oddly enough their orthopedic hospital.

WASHINGTON HEIGHTS, NY — A Washington Heights university student has tested positive for new coronavirus, canceling classes at the neighborhood's college campus, school officials announced Wednesday.

The Yeshiva University student, who lives in New Rochelle, is the son of a 50-year-old man who became the second confirmed case of coronavirus in New York City on Tuesday. The man worked at a law firm in Midtown and is being treated at a Manhattan hospital.

Officials said Tuesday that the Yeshiva student and his brother, who attends SAR High School in Riverdale, were being tested due to their father's diagnosis. Both brothers were isolated at their home in Westchester County, school officials said.
