We are predicting Australian businesses will be forced to close on Friday. The military use a particular strategy to lock down cities. Its a series of increasing restrictions over several days. By using incremental steps the closure is accepted by the public. If they were announce a closure out of the blue there would be civil unrest. Australia has gone through a series of restrictions. The next we believe will come Friday. So if you need to get $hit done, do it now!!!!!! |

Are you in Australia as well Cobber? If so - stay safe, looks like things ramping up there at about the same rate as here, I think you're in a bit better position numbers wise and your government seems to be taking action a bit sooner/faster. Have quite a few friends there - will touch base with them again... |

Here in NZ we started our lockdown last night. Today we're all at home. Everyone except key workers. And we're being paid to be at home. In my family we started on Monday when the PM announced it, and already I'm losing track of the days. Today feels like a Saturday. I think we're about to have four weeks of Saturdays and Sundays lol. |

I'm in Adelaide under a self imposed lock down. My whole family is in lock down. Its working great. However I struggle to work from home. I just cant focus for some reason. There are now several people saying we will be in full lock down soon. Even my sanguine business partner think its going to happen. I want to ride my bike through the empty city. Very odd situation. A once in a lifetime event. |

YES! Adelaide is a beautiful city and you/your family are safe at home - definitely reason to be happy! I think riding a bike through the city would be awesome, truly a once in a lifetime! |

We're on day 2 of a full lockdown here, but my family has stayed at home since Monday when it was announced. Already every day is feeling like the weekend. It's a weird feeling. We live in a relatively small house by Australian standards but our saving grace is that we're not open plan. We have rooms. So we've all been able to go and get some alone time when we've needed it. |

No Shutdown... yet Lucky I didn't take bets. Interesting point made by the Prime Ministers. He said two thirds of all Wuflu cases in Australia came from one person. Maybe i misheard this. Not sure He went on to say that travel quarantines will be strictly enforced. The Australian Defense Force has now been brought in to manage compliance in coordination with State Governments. He discussed hibernation of businesses in the future. (shut down) It seems its in the playbook, but is currently shelved. Maybe the plan is to establish a military presence before shut down.. |

Prime Minister clarifies the term hibernation is not lock down. The media seemed to hammer the term "hibernation" |

Basically No one earns, no one pays bills, for 6 months.....government support those that need it.... That's as I understand it, mortgages frozen for 3/6months if you unemployed, but interest goes on end, so if your mortgage is for 20 yrs,now it will 20 + 6 months..... Same with business can't be thrown out, PM says landlord's would be stupid to throw you out because who's going to re-rent IT.... Looking after your own.... Love AUSTRALIA ...... "FAIR GO "for all Australians...... IS OUR MOTTO ......... Daily Mail: Generous Australian man hands out $100 cash to workers queuing outside Centrelink. |

The story of the settlement of Australia Is completely different than that of the USA. You have to look at History of Australia , If you ever have the chance, visit " Port Arthur" in Tasmania, It was the harshest penal colony that convicts were sent to, It is also where rehabilitation for prisoners IDEAS started, The idea it wasn't really a good idea to lock people up for a crime. The idea of a "Fair GO" here is very strong, Same as "Mateship" Looking after your fellow AUSSIE..... ("I've got your Back Bro") I work with 2 ex South Africans, Their views are different again. If you locked down Check out the reasons How and why Australia settled.... Take care all π€π
