Quote The revised report issued by Mexico's health ministry (in Spanish) showed that by the end of the sixth week of 2021 there had been 294,287 deaths "associated with Covid-19" - up from the 182,301 confirmed figure given previously.

Since mid-February more than 26,772 Covid-19-related deaths have been reported across Mexico which would take the total to more than 321,000.

This will give Mexico a death/million rate of around 2,470, which would put them in the category of being the highest (non-micro state) country.

I wonder what a realistic figure for Brazil would be?

I don't want to think about that one, Edwin, it's a big country - even before you take the Bolsonaro b*lls-up into consideration.

How do you tell if a politician is lying?
His lips or pen are moving.

I don't believe any of the figures I hear are the true number,

60%decrepancy ?????

Either they lied in the 1st place or there's something to gain by higher numbers.....

Usually $$$$$ or pesos, political........????

As for Brazil I think they  knows exactly what they are  doing......

Except this time it's not blankets  infected with smallpox.......!!!!!!!

Need to get rid of them rainforests.....

Needs more Burger's.....

Take care all 😷😉

Well over a week since this news broke.....BUT the revisions have yet to make it into the official data.

I suppose that is a good policy move....announce the larger amount (so you can say that you have been honest about the seriousness of this outbreak), but fail to adjust the official data so you can show how low the numbers are and so say what a good job you are doing.
