After having our first cases of Omicron here in Northern Ireland we seem to still be on a roundabout. No restrictions and keep schools open is the constant words of our leaders.

Our chief medical officer admits that he suspects more cases unidentified.. He also says there are concerns it will replace Delta in coming weeks and likely grow rapidly before Christmas. 


*Our chief medical officer is actually saying alot and that is unusual in itself.

And that's just the ones who have symptoms and have been tested. I think the UK government are suggesting that the figure could be 5x or even 10x the number of official cases.

Those who got it wrong, for whatever reason, may feel defensive and retrench into a position that doesn’t accord with the facts.

I agree unfortunately. The testing is not great here and I heard on the radio they might have to rely on symptoms... Doesn't look good
