More ballooneey news:

Hobby Club’s Missing Balloon Feared Shot Down By USAFAviation Week

A small, globe-trotting balloon declared “missing in action” by an Illinois-based hobbyist club on Feb. 15 has emerged as a candidate to explain one of the three mystery objects shot down by four heat-seeking missiles launched by U.S. Air Force fighters since Feb. 10.

The club—the Northern Illinois Bottlecap Balloon Brigade (NIBBB)—is not pointing fingers yet.

But the circumstantial evidence is at least intriguing. The club’s silver-coated, party-style, “pico balloon” reported its last position on Feb. 10 at 38,910 ft. off the west coast of Alaska, and a popular forecasting tool—the HYSPLIT model provided by the National Oceanic and Atmospheric Administration (NOAA)—projected the cylindrically shaped object would be floating high over the central part of the Yukon Territory on Feb. 11. That is the same day a Lockheed Martin F-22 shot down an unidentified object of a similar description and altitude in the same general area.

There are suspicions among other prominent members of the small, pico-ballooning enthusiasts’ community, which combines ham radio and high-altitude ballooning into a single, relatively affordable hobby.

“I tried contacting our military and the FBI—and just got the runaround—to try to enlighten them on what a lot of these things probably are. And they’re going to look not too intelligent to be shooting them down,” says Ron Meadows, the founder of Scientific Balloon Solutions (SBS), a Silicon Valley company that makes purpose-built pico balloons for hobbyists, educators and scientists.

The descriptions of all three unidentified objects shot down Feb. 10-12 match the shapes, altitudes and payloads of the small pico balloons, which can usually be purchased for $12-180 each, depending on the type.

Project Picoballoon

Currently, 2000 single-use stratospheric balloons are launched daily. Our balloons are also single-use but require significantly less material, less energy, and have simpler logistics. ...

The probe is a crucial part of our observational system. It performs measurements of meteorological variables such as temperature, humidity, pressure, or wind currents, which it then transmits through a global radio network. It operates entirely on solar power, making it run indefinitely. All of this is possible in its coin-sized package.

-

They spent $2,000,000 to take down one $12 balloon. It was just one of thousands which get launched (legally!) every day.

You think that wasn't worth it?

You have the wrong perception.

Try to see it from the viewpoint of a weapon producer.

Or from the viewpoint of a Congress critter who is looking for bribes donations to finance her reelection:

Some lawmakers have suggested that they intend to put a spotlight on near space — and perhaps get more in the defense budget for those efforts. “It is essential that we provide the military and intelligence community with the necessary resources to detect and monitor objects in near space,” said Senator Kirsten Gillibrand, a New York Democrat on the Armed Services Committee.

Sunday February 5, 2023

On Sunday night, local authorities warned that the burning train cars meant there was “a high probability of a toxic gas release and or explosion.” Authorities ordered everyone within a mile to evacuate, and threatened to arrest anyone who remained in the area.

Monday February 6, 2023

On Monday February 6, officials expanded the evacuation zone to include parts of Pennsylvania. To reduce the risk of an explosion, Norfolk Southern Railway began a controlled release and burn of the materials. Ohio Governor Mike DeWine warned:

“[A]nyone who remains in the red affected area is facing grave danger of death. Anyone who remains in the yellow impacted area is at a high risk of severe injury, including skin burns and serious lung damage”

Tuesday February 7, 2023

Ten miles away from the site of the train derailment, a woman in North Lima, Ohio found all of her chickens dead on Tuesday morning.

Wednesday February 8, 2023

But by Wednesday February 8th, Ohio Governor Mike DeWine, Pennsylvania Governor Josh Shapiro, and other state, local, and federal officials announced that residents could safely return home.

While attempting to cover the governor’s press conference in Ohio, reporter Evan Lambert was handcuffed and arrested by police.

Roni,

It was biden who claimed vaccinated did no longer need to wear masks...Stupid in more then two ways;

-Non sterilizing vaccines (at best) limit disease-do NOT stop infection

-Politizizing masks made masks a political statement NOT a medical tool...

More recent biden came up with "the pandemic is over"...as if that is something "he" has a say in...Pandemics are by definition global...On top of that "long CoViD" has become the most widespread form of CoViD by now...(some infectious diseases last longer then 4 weeks after a positive test...).

--

biden is pushing for "regime change" in Moscow...blaming Putin for the election of trump...putting the world at risk for all out global war we will not survive...h.clinton did get 3 million more votes...trump ended up with more "electors"...there is a problem in the way the US has elections...

(Do I have to start with Seymour Hersh (a.o.) ; biden was behind the Nordstream attack on Russian-EU energy...The US president-planned the attack before the Russian provoked invasion into Ukraine...The only rational reaction of the EU has to be to see this as a US attack on Europe...).

--------

DJ, I do NOT want to insult people but history is linking wars making pandemics much worse...(Spanish Flu without World War 1 would most likely remained a "bad flu season").

So...with both wars and pandemics not following bidens plan the US is now at war with weatherballoons...(and weatherballoons are "latest news"...)

NORAD now is following more slow moving objects...so that may be the story behind them noticing more balloons..

https://www.moonofalabama.org/2023/02/why-the-airforce-shot-down-a-us-weather-balloon.html or https://www.moonofalabama.org/2023/02/why-the-airforce-shot-down-a-us-weather-balloon.html the idea is the US president works in the name of the US people for that people...

If a person is not fit for that job (s)he should be replaced...certainly when putting not only the US but all of the world at such risks...

Maybe I made myself more clear ? Wars escalate pandemics...but most of the times I write about wars in a different section...balloons -for now- changed that...)

DJ,

-Pandemic strategy failed..."vaccines-only" simply does not stop CoViD on the long run...

-Western foreign policy a total disaster...

The basic problem is the US President at the moment is "a man not fit for the job" to keep it polite...We need regime change in the US...but also Europe has a very major problem with "leaders" not thinking for themselves but running after each other..."follow the US leader" blindly....

Proof strategies in healthcrises, wars are NOT working are-by now- very clear...just to be ignored by the "biden-cult"....

Humanity now is facing the end of the planet...instead of trying to limit damage "our leaders" are speeding up collapse...

So...at least "we" can shoot down weather balloons...

Insanity rules....

I know Roman Emperors were a bit.. eccentric but this one seems too outlandish. Is there any truth to this tale?

Theory #2: Caligula was such a scheming, lying, no good manipulative bastard that he gathered seashells, called them booty and declared and celebrated a nonexistent victory because he knew the good people of Rome were so terrified of him they would agree to anything he said just to keep him from killing them.

DJ...Not going along with the dominant "idea" in a "cult" means being excluded and isolated...Are 'we" protected against insane leaders ?
