Our media campaign in China and France is underway. We won't expect the international news wires to pick us up until around Monday. Since these announcements are in French and Chinese, they won't be released in the U.S for awhile.
There are various free internet programs that easily translate foreign languages. Our proprietary software has been delayed.
Fluprepper posted this translation link in the China forum:
Perhaps everybody can practice using this one, or any other one that you might be able to find. Feel free to practice in the Chinese and French forums. Be sure to say something to make our new visitors on Monday feel welcome.

Won't the Chinese censors blackout anything we say that they do not like?

I was going to ask the exact same question. How do we know that the Chinese people can get access to our site, and maintain proper/legitimate postings? -k

The Chinese Government will most likely let this go through.
We are bridging a major communications gap for the entire internet. Chinese keyboards are different from ours in which they contain symbols, which means they can't use the normal search engines to locate U.S companies. They are secluded from most of the world on the internet, not because of their government, but because of technology. Our idea is simple. By providing various links to our site, they will just be able to simply click on the links to reach us, instead of typing symbols which wouldn't work.
This could create a potential large increase in revenue for China if they could conduct business with the U.S on the internet, so my guess is that they will allow our media campaign.
We are going to become a doorway for the world to communicate.

I think what you are doing is wonderful, but, I have a concern. Several weeks ago I posted that I was in the process of purchasing an item via eBay from a person in China. In an email I asked what was the current status of bird flu in China. He(she) replied that there was no bird flu in China. Well, several days later, I received an email stating that they had been removed from eBay without their knowledge (I am paraphrasing) and didn't understand. I received the item and went to eBay to record feedback, (eBay REALLY is adamant about feedback) and was unable to locate the sale description. It appears that this individual just "went away" and I feel terrible for questioning them about the bird flu. Sorry to ramble, but I just wanted you to be aware. bj

The Russian language has similar barriers. Different characters used on the keyboard. We are going to have to bring them into this too. The German language uses the same characters as we do. Since Russia is completely isolated on the internet like China, we are going to make an attempt to connect everybody. We are going to open an internet doorway.
We are moving slightly beyond a preparedness site.

The internet is strictly regulated in China...even Yahoo turns in their IP numbers and the people just disappear. Same thing happened with Boxun reporters and they must have used characters instead of letters. Posters have diappeared from other boards too. There is one on Current Events that says he is from Canada but talks like a loyal party member of the Chinese government. I read an article some time ago that they do have shills on boards so we have to be aware of that.

We are very determined to bridge the communication barrier on a very large scale. I'm sure other countries wouldn't mind if that happened. We will know on Monday.

Things should pick up sometime today. If this works, we will focus our media campaign on the rest of Europe, with an emphasis on Russia & Germany.
China can't keep us out, nor do I think that they will want to. We should know today.
Things could get interesting with France today as well.
