Priorities for vaccination

Some Pfizer vaccine will soon be available. At the current time there is only enough to vaccinate a few million people. So, who should get it?

Ideally, we would already have a rationally designed system in place with general agreement by all the stakeholders. But we don't. So, everyone who has control over vaccine distribution will make their own decisions on who should get it. There are two general principles that should guide distribution: 1. Who is at the greatest involuntary risk of exposure? 2. Whose life is most likely to be saved by getting the vaccine?

Most plans put health care workers (HCW) near the top of the list due to their risk of getting infected. This is appropriate. Within the HCW population, some are more likely to be exposed than others. Nurses who work in ICUs and ER docs should get the vaccine first, imo.

Other specialties without much contact with COVID-19 patients can wait, i. e., plastic surgeons. Paramedics should probably be higher on the list than many physicians given their greater risk. Assisted living residents are also high on the priority list. Given that the vaccine appears to be effective in older people, vaccinating these at risk patients will likely save many lives.

There are many essential workers, such as police, firemen and food processors who should also get be high on the vaccination list.

To make the vaccine go as far as possible, decisions should be based on granular data about risk, i. e., the cop on the beat who makes frequent contact with the public should be high on the list to be vaccinated. The police chief who is mainly at his desk all day should not.

Who should not be high on the list? Goldman Sachs executives. When the H1N1 virus was killing children in great numbers, Goldman Sachs executives secretly got vaccine ahead of "ordinary" American children. I remember seeing terrible stories about the children who died before the vaccine was available to them - but not before Goldman Sachs executives got it. I don't know if there is any way to stop this from happening again. But I hope there is someone who has influence who is watching for this.

The China Conspiracy Theory confirmed

For years, I have been warning about the army of Chinese spy/prostitutes who are targeting US politicians, scientists and journalists for blackmail and control. I was told by one prominent member of Flublogia that I "saw darkness everywhere". As it turns out, I was right and he was wrong.

There are now reports of prominent politicians and scientists who fell for this old tactic and that there are possibly thousands more that have not been revealed. The full scope of this problem has still not been reported. The people who have been targeted and are being blackmailed have the power to damage the careers of anyone who questions Chinese Communist's policy. And they do. This gives them substantial power to shape important institutions in ways that damage the United States, including its response to the pandemic.

The targeting of journalists, including science journalists, has not yet been discussed. This is perhaps understandable given that it is journalists who decide what to report. The shaping of news stories to underplay the threat from China, especially with respect to this pandemic is clear and obvious. One wonders what it will take to reveal the Chinese infiltration of the media.
