Extinction of the human species

In July of 2020, a study was reported describing the crash in human births that is occurring world-wide. By the end of this century, if current trends continue, in every country in the world, births will be below the number necessary to replace people who have died. If this occurs, the human species will go extinct. This report has received shockingly little attention. Why?

The developed countries are already below replacement. The only way for them to grow is to accept immigrants from countries that are still above replacement.

 However, SARS-2 is now starting to devastate less-developed countries like India. We don't know how many people are really dying in India. Some estimates are that the number is 10 times higher than official reports. It is entirely possible that the population of India will start to shrink, this year, as has already been reported for China.

Africa has thus far been spared the devastation that has visited much of the world. But I wonder how long that will continue.
Our species is in an emergency situation. The only thing of importance right now is to produce as many children as possible, protect them from harm and teach them the skills they need to survive. Everything else is a waste of time.

The Powers that Be (TPTB) are Dumber and More Crooked than You Think

Like many people, I used to think TPTB were smarter or at least more knowledgeable than me. Over the years, I have had the opportunity to meet some of them. Boy, was I surprised.

Most of them are as dumb as a bag of hammers and corrupt to boot. Some of them used to be smart, but are now quite senile. They don't seem to realize this. I was surprised that people so old and obviously out-of-it could still hold on to power.

 Then I met their presumed replacements - who are complete morons. A formerly smart but now quite senile leader is apparently preferable to their younger but even stupider acolytes.
It is unfortunate, but big organizations have turned out to be an ideal environment for psychopaths. In many organizations, honesty is selected against. Only those "who play along" will be allowed to advance to the top ranks. Any "boy scouts" have to be suppressed because they will ruin the game if they are allowed too much power.

Wonder why the pandemic was handled so badly in the US and in many other countries? This is why.

Avoid the Unvaccinated

The one big success story of this pandemic has been the use of mRNA vaccines. Without these, the US would be India, right now. People who refuse the vaccine now, despite all evidence of their effectiveness and safety, are on a path that leads to disease and death. These people may become vectors of new and dangerous strains of SARS-2. Avoid them.
