My mom is a diabetic. There are several mountain stream headwaters near her house. I've decided to rig up a secure holding container that can be submerged in these cold waters in case of power failure to keep the vials of insulin cool.
 
Welcome thoughts on this. Am also researching spring houses.

Excellent plan.  You could use similar plans for all refrigeration needs if the area is secure.
