The mainland authorities have confirmed a human case of bird flu in Fujian province. The Ministry of Health notified the authorities that a 26 year old woman was infected with the H5N1 virus. The woman developed a fever and pneumonia on Jan. 10th. She is now undergoing treatment in a hospital and is in stable condition. Staff at the Diocesan Boy's School in Mongkok found a dead wild bird on monday that later tested positive for the h5 virus. It was a japanese white-eye which is native to the region and popular among bird fanciers.
also, further tests on a dead Little Egret found in Tuen Mun earlier have confirmed that it carried the H5N1 virus. RTHK Online News |

Another problem with China is that their pigs might sick as well , after chicken they love their pork. Over 30 pig farmers died last year. |
