Where do you spend the money to upgrade your supplies?  For some items, the cheapest item is the way to go for me.  But for other items, I would rather pay a little more and get a better quality product.

Things I go for the least expensive:
Shampoo
Canned Fruits and Vegetables
Pet Food (really the expensive stuff makes them itch!)

Things I will spend extra money on:
Dish Soap (I really like Dawn)
TP (Charmin for the girls, cheap stuff for the guy)

Anyone else have any ideas?

I have a couple of large bottles of the shampoo that my 4 daughters like so that I can "ease them into" a SIP.
Later I have some home made shampoo and shower gel and also washing liquid that could be used if everything else "normal" has gone.

I have spent extra money on ordering Amantadine on the web and also a four month supply of my prescription medication that is essential.

Have also ordered Dr Woodson's book and am waiting for it to arrive.

DH is not fully aware of all the stuff that I have stored away - just in case- but managed to squeeze it out of the budget.

I think everyone has to decide what is most important to them - what they would miss most and be a real hardship to them.

I am loading up space on flour. It will replace or supply noodles, breads, gravy, more on the list. I am also loading up on can milk, shelf life is good and can be deleted 1/2 with water if needed, will also support the flour for more use. Crisco shortening. Shelf life is long and will replace the oils going bad on the shelf and support use with many cooking answers.

I am getting extra imported items coffee, sugar etc. Our pipelines could come back sooner than pipelines from overseas. Even during war times imported items where rationed. I can see the price of coffee and sugar going through the roof for a long time.

My Bug-Out gear. If I have to leave here, I want to be taking well made things with me.
