I plan to do a second poll, so if you want an item listed in poll 2 let me know.
Of course we are all at different stages of prepping, but I'm looking for overall trends here.  For example, if almost everyone has a shortwave radio maybe I should also!

It looks like you'll have to vote for one item at a time, but you can vote for as many as you have.  Thanks for voting.

I have Coleman camp stove, emergancy stove, extra fuel, crank radio, first aid kit for each car & one for home, going to start first aid classes. A notebook is a great idea- couse right now its in my head. I have about 30 of those little propain bottles(about a months worth), about 200 rolls of TP, 700 rounds of shotgun shells,5000 rounds of 22's ( thoses are the only guns I have) just bought a compound bow from a guy at work $50 bucks, latex gloves, masks, hand sanitizer, candles, one lamp, lamp oil. As for a solar cooker I have not invested any time in that, those can be made with cardboard and aluminum foil. 1 solar shower. lots of trash bags.   I am not as well prepared as some here, but I feel good about what I do have.   Preparing for emergancys is an endless cycle of preparing, learning, and rotating our stocks.

Best Wishes to all    Rockhound & Emra

Rockhound,  it sounds like you're in great shape.  Better than many here and way better then most of the general population.  I just ordered my camp stove and just 5 minutes ago Amazon said it shipped.  Now I need to go buy some propane bottles.  I need more TP and more trash bags.  Need to renew my Costco membership :)

Its interesting to see that most people that voted have a craank radio, but only one has a generator.

Thanks for answering.

I have everything but the solar cooker, of course you can always use a table top, tin roof, whatever and sun (solar) dry. Like rockhounds first paragraph, I'm pretty much prepared in other categories. I'm learning now how to cook from scratch. First time in my life buying 25# bags of flour, sugar, etc. I'm making all of our desserts, breads, tortillas (corn, flour) our own refried beans, planted a vegetable and herb garden. Really trying to learn how to do things and live out of our house a month to six weeks at a time. My husband doesn't want to talk about bird flu but is really enjoying the home cooked meals and the variety of meals. I make a list everytime we shop now and as I use things in the house. It's tough.
