Budapest, Hungary is testing swans, said in 7 to 10 days they will know if it was H5N1.
I am posting quickly before I go to work...but  on the weekend I someone posted about their trip driving home in Italy and seeing so many dead birds.  He made another post on  that he called to report what he saw and the person assured him it was nothing to worry about and this happens every year.  He, also, told him it is very expensive to "test" these birds.  Who pays for the testing when birds are found?  If you find 100 birds you would need to test a good many of them to make sure....so who would pick up the cost?
