I got this email from somebody and I thought some of you might like it.
READ THIS, THEN CLICK ON THE BELOW LINK TO WATCH THE VIDEO. A son asked his father: 'Dad, will you take part in a marathon with me?'
The father who, despite having a heart condition, says 'Yes'.
They went on to compete in a marathon together. The father and son participated in other marathons together, as well. The father always said 'Yes' to his son's requests to go through the races together. One day, the son asked his father: 'Dad, let's join the Ironman together.' His father said: "Sure son" For those who don't know, the Ironman is the toughest triathlon ever. The race encompasses three endurance events: a 2.4 mile ocean swim, followed by a 112 mile bike ride, and ending with a 26.2 mile marathon along the coast of the Big Island in Hawaii. Father and son went on to compete in the race together. View the highlights of this race at..... |

Thank-You, I just was just wondering why we were here and what it was that we had to contribute, not just to take from this existence--and then I saw his father's strenghth and his son's smile and I once again had some faith in the cause of the human condition.

Thanks Albert. In the midst of all of the doom and gloom is a refreshing break to see success, courage, faith, and something good happening in the world.

God lives in all of us...we just need to listen and heed his call. This father shows true faith and love. My son will miss his father but God will help him through I have faith.

A positive attitude may not solve all your problems, but it will annoy enough people to make it worth the effort!

Here is a link to more on the story and another different video:
http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=dDnrLv6z-mM Because it was such an unbelievable story, I looked it up as an urban legend. It is a TRUE story. Here is the link: http://www.snopes.com/glurge/teamhoyt.asp LOVE makes anything possible, but you must set your mind. God's blessings to all Thank you, Albert, for the video and for all the fine work you have done. |

Glad you guys liked it.
ME, I agree. I too think we all share those values and I think it almost binds this place together.
I like any stories where people strive to accomplish the impossible, and to do things that nobody thought was ever possible. You can't ever achieve the impossible unless you first try. For me, when people say "there is no way you can do it", or," there is no way it can be done", I always respond the same way, "watch me!" The tougher the task, works fine for me ..
I also like the story because the father never quit. I agree in never giving up. Should I ever be on life support for any reason, my family knows to never pull the plug on me. If they give me a chance and a little time, I will always fight my way back. Somehow, someway.

So I thought I would add this here, not to be joking about something so serious and I really don't want to offend anyone, but I have been stressed and this sorta made me smile...so I thought I would share.
A quote from my friend Jeanette I thought you'd enjoy! "We all thought the day Obama would become president would be the day that pigs fly. Sure enough, 100 days into office, swine flu"
