In Grodno flu epidemic was announced on Belarus an influenza season is beginning. Illness gripped the west of the country at first. With the first city where a flu epidemic was announced, is lying close to the border with Grodno Poland.

In the last week in Grodnie number of coming down with the flu and acute chest infections over three times exceeded norms. It fell ill 4.7 tys. of persons, close half from them these are children and young people to 14. of year of the life - an agency informed Interfax-Zapad.

The Department of Health provided that Grodno was the only thing of around 18 monitored cities which a flu epidemic reached at the moment. However it warned that in the connection with the warmer weather and melts the number of falling ill could grow.

Specialists are predicting that this year\'s epidemic won\'t be too serious and he will stay on the level of the last year when it fell ill 408 tys. of persons. Record-breaking in this respect a year was 1999 when it had the flu over the million of Byelorussians.

I wonder if its th Influenza B which has been causing a lot of sickness where I like in the middle of the UK. It didnt quite reach epidemic levels here, but high levels, a lot of schools affected, some teachers, but mostly kids.
