Just to keep things a little on the light side here, I was just thinking how much waiting for a pandemic reminds me of my first pregnancy. I was given a due date of dec 25th 1974. She didn't come until Jan 20th 1975..lol I was soooooooo big (in tummy area) so drained, I had lost 35 lbs during the pregnancy, I had very low BP, and very anemic. I was passing out just getting up to go to the bathroom! I couldn't eat, or even smell food without getting sick to my stomach, yet she still wasn't ready to plunge into this world. I refused hospitalization, and put my faith in Gods hands. Finally, by Jan 15th, I was so drained, thinking what!? Am I going to give birth to an elephant!?? lol So I gave in, and they attempted to induce labor, it didn't work;P Back home I went, only 4 days later, my water broke at home. I relunctantly went back to the hospital thinking something else was going to go wrong, because 3 hrs after it broke I had no labor pains at all. So in I went, luckily the doc decided to do an x ray to make sure all was ok. It wasn't;( If they had tried to force her down and out? She'd of broken her neck. So an emergency c-sect was done. Mandy Rose was born 7 lbs 8 oz,24 inches long. She had her eyes wide opened, and could actually hold her head up when she was placed up over my shoulder! Healthy and strong as a horse...lol So, what does this story have in common with the pandemic? Both took forever it seemed to get here....and then Bam! Guess what? Your world is turned inside out, and upside down in a flash. Just one big difference, Mandy was welcomed with open arms and heart into my world...The pandemic? Well...that's
more like a living nightmare. None the less...both sprung upon me when I least expected it, only with the pandemic? Mandy is helping me/us prepare for it;)
