India bans retail sales of Tamiflu
The Indian government announced it will not allow retail sales of the flu drug Tamiflu, but the antiviral will be made available through health agencies in areas where avian flu develops. Officials said the ban was ordered because of a tendency for people to use drugs unnecessarily as a precautionary measure, which can cause drug resistance.   The Financial Express (India) (2/21)

Well, that almost makes sense, at least if the Chinese have been giving tamiflu to the chickens as well.
