"Experts" ... Panic? and the Flu Vaccine ...   Worries

(I think Some folks in Massachusetts are fired up)

Could Swine Flu Panic Be Worse Than Outbreak Itself?
.......................................................................................

TUESDAY, Sept. 22 (HealthDay News) -- With all the warnings and preparations, dire

predictions and hastily ordered vaccines, could the growing worry about H1N1 swine flu

prove more disruptive than the actual outbreak?

That notion is weighing on the minds of more than a few infectious-disease experts as the

fall and winter flu season looms.

Not only does societal panic not help during a public health situation, such as the current

H1N1 flu pandemic, it can actually backfire, creating its own set of problems, the experts said.

I am not sure about that...Memphis TN and a Large City in TX have set up triage tents for H1N1 flu for kids. The hospital in TX is having 300 kids a day go through. So we do have lots sick just few deaths...good news.

I won't speak for the groups o people with... underlying conditions.  (they could be a little worried)

The panic could be with the people who are unable to get the cooperation of the

population at large.  Like all swined up and nowhere to go... Billions spent on vaccines.

The US has now offered to give some away...

......
