I was re-arranging my stock donw in my basement..and my son was in the middle of cleaning his 10 gallon aqaruim and boom no hydro, we have just got it back...kids and I played cards all day...

But what a test..I need to go get a coleman stove and stock up onlots of propane..hydro went down just before lunch.

Not even a second of panic, we had our candles, flashlights and back up plans all in place..

I do have 2 firepits and bbq...but I did not want to use those until I knew exactly how longpower was off for..

Well glad to be back..hi all....

had plans for sleeping arrangements and how we would stay warm through the night...I lost a lot of pennies today..oh well i will hit the bank..and even McDomalds was closed could not even grab a burger for dinner

Hi. Respectfully, can you call the power company or maybe the press and ask 'em what's going on? That's what I do when my universe is disturbed and it works for me.

We have lost power quite a few times in past couple years, and at least a couple times a year our water is undrinkable for a week at a time.

I learned I need chafing pot fuel, bottled water and a good thermos. I can face almost ANYTHING if I have a constant supply of hot tea :-)
