I wonder if a person went out and about conducting their normal activities shopping, banking, etc. while wearing ppe if they would be arrested for inciting panic. I know...but I have thought about it. What do you think would be the result?

Disturbing the peace, with the intent to incite public panic?
Might be a statute out there.

I could see where someone could decide to error on the side of caution. Then decide that the only one protecting them would be themselves. If they had the equipment I could see it being done. I would think it would be a basic form of self defense but wonder about the reaction. Also could be a public awareness statement.

I'm going to be wearing a full containment suit.  A buddy of mine has a warehouse full, literally.  I might start working out a good color pattern.  Might go all black.

Well that would be rational. Something tells me that if this gets worse people will use ppe and others will panic or throw a fit because they don't have them. Then the ones that have ppe will be vilified.

You certainly have a style of your own Jacksdad. LOL
Those who got it wrong, for whatever reason, may feel defensive and retrench into a position that doesn’t accord with the facts.

I asked the cashier checking out my stuff. She said because she has kids.  She refused to say any more.  I live in the suburbs of Kansas City Mo.  I went to 2 different Walmarts within a 2 week time frame and saw it at both places. Several towns apart.

Might be D68 that's got them spooked.  Since it's been going on a couple weeks I doubt it was ebola, the public aren't interested in anything till it makes headlines.  And MO is around that area of the country where D68 cases where exploding.  Just my thoughts.

That's what I was thinking, Jen. It's been circulating in that part of the the US for a while.

Since the doctor did it last week to protest the airlines, it probably wouldn't cause too much of a panic. However, you wouldn't be allowed into a bank or any other place with high security. Not with the mask on anyway.

I suggest wearing it out and about now, but carrying the headpiece. Within a very short period of time people won't look twice. Then when you feel it is necessary, you probably won't be noticed. And it would be a great way to start a conversation about prepping .

Rickster - this was my son's Christmas present two years ago. He did actually ask for it, but so he could wear it at the drag races. He doesn't know it serves a dual purpose in Dad's eyes
