Maybe this will prompt her to log on again. It's been almost a year.

Annie is on another forum with much more important things to do, lol. What a waste. I wish I could panic, but I'm lacking the fear gene in life.

Just got back from Walmart in Utah. The bulk food section of isle, ie dehydrated eggs butter cheese etc, almost completely wiped out. The store person said most of the time that section moves very slowly and they just restocked it three days ago and will do so again tonight. I knew they had eggs and cheese but powdered butter? Gotta have a few cans of that! We've got four fridges and three deep freezes fully stuffed but if the power were to go out...image.jpg

I live in Austin, Texas. To be quite honest, the average person knows very little if anything about
Ebola. The ones who are more aware, are not concerned all that much because, hey this is
Texas, USA and they are very proud of that fact. As they like to say, "Don't Mess With Texas!"

To be quite honest, Austin is a cesspool of all manner of filth. Corrupt governments, sadistic cops,
toxic religions of every design (this is the Bible Belt), moronic patriotism, tragic alcoholism and
investors from around the world, who must get in on all of the action.

There is the Formula One Races, that will bring in mega millions, as wealthy people from all
over the world, embark on Austin, during the month of October. The tainted entertainment
industry from violent and immoral movies, to trash head bands. It is all here.

Texans are very proud of their trashy ideals, barbaric corruption and inherited snobbery.
Ebola won't mess with the "heart" of Texas, or will it?

Actually that's not too far off, lol. Astrological - are you getting me into trouble again here??

You're a sharp cookie Astro, but don't slam Texas or I'll take the heat for it today. Remember the Alamo.

Onefluover, you are lucky to be in Utah. People in that area are more pragmatic in these
situations. I am originally from Idaho. Big difference between Idaho, Utah even California.
Texas is another planet all together.

I'm not trying to get anyone in trouble. Besides, Texas is nothing but a corporation of organized crime.

I have been to the Alamo several times to carefully inspect it, according to the legend. I think it was
a bank, and what was being protected, was gold. The whole architecture looks that way if you study
it carefully.

I have that one, but not over this. CDC's giving me cause for concern though - it seems that we're going to have to hold their feet to the flames to get them to shape up. Jackasses...

That is cool your walmart actually has those.  The best I can get at the one near me is ramen noodles and mac & cheese.  I have to rely on amazon prime for my bulk food orders.

Between the cholesterol and the sodium, you wouldn't make it through an outbreak if you were to SIP

That's funny about Texas... the day the news broke I was reading an article online & in the comments section someone said.... "Ebola hit Texas? Well I'll almost feel sorry for it when Texas hits back."

It was nice to have a little chuckle on such a serious day.  I love the Texan spirit myself.

For the Inland Empire, the only panic buying I saw came when d68 got diagnosed in Southern CA. When I bought the DayQuil when it was 3$ instead of 10.49$ and I got the last two tablet packs /liquid version for over 50 miles, and the robutessin was mostly gone. Then people argued over some people buyinh too many of the generic brand because some woman had multiple bottles of the Kmart brand in her basket and another woman started yelling at her and the worker about it. It was ridiculous.

Sorry for the weird fonts, the phone version doesn't  always work out well for me.
Be prepared! It may be time....^_^v

That's Sandy Cheeks. She wears it because she's lives underwater in Bikini Bottom. Oh, and she's from Texas, y'all. Sheesh

Sams was brisk with business but shelves were full.

Texas is in this mess because unrestricted travel out of a known epidemic area has been encouraged by this president and his administration. Any US acquired cases are intentional murder.

I was just informed that face masks, gas masks or whatever have sold out at the army
surplus here in Austin, Texas. I don't have any myself. I am designing my own. Like the
one that Jacksdad has in his picture. LOL

When I asked why the masks have been in such high demand, some one said, "After this
Ebola scare in Dallas, we don't believe anything the CDC or anybody for that matter has to
say about this situation."

Great Value Salmon was only available in 12 quantity at walmart.com and when I tried to order
more, it said that was all available, and they could not give a time frame as to when they would
have more. This could have been a glitch in the system, or someone is really buying up at least
this item.

Onefluover mentioned dehydrated eggs and butter. Found some at Walmart on line, ordered
several of each. I used to have so much food storage, among other wonderful preps supplies.
Lost most of it when out house was foreclosed on.

Can't find anyone to clean the apartment because it takes a special permit to work with the bio waste generated by an ebola victim.  Treating Dr Bradley in Atlanta generated 40 bags of bio waste.  The Waste Disposal Company servicing the hospital was not qualified to handle or dispose of the bags.

One person = A problem
Many people = ? ? ?  (you fill in the blanks)
