I just saw in the news here that Ebola was in Nairobi, Kenya. I did not catch the whole thing so I am not sure if it was a positive case or a suspected. I am in Mombasa, about a 6 hr drive from Nairobi. Will update you if I hear if it is true or a mistake.

wow. Keep us posted on that one 7. We appreciate it. Once it hit Nigeria when moving East, Nigeria suddenly claimed they're Ebola Free forever. I'll bet you a Tusker it was still moving Eastward and plowing a path through Nigeria.

Looks like a suspected case. Nairobi is a major hub for travel which can be a concern. Yes Albert, today I had Tusker and golfed 36 holes! |

I knew you were playing golf lol. 7, we could have a full blown pandemic and it will still never interfere with your golf game and having having an ice cold Tusker. Love it! Kenya is starting to sound like the place to be.

Albert, remember when we were watching H5N1 and wondering if it was going to break out? I was a stock trader during that time. I heavily invested in biotech for that and lost almost 7 figures. I had to start over. 7 years later I now live a good life in a beautiful place and I keep in mind to have fun no matter what! And I am diversified now so no worries!

That's great 7. Good job on the recovery and sorry that happened a long time ago. I suppose we've all learned a lot. I too worry very little these days and tend to enjoy life as much as possible. Maybe we all learned to do that in some way. Those were crazy times...
You may have to message me an investment tip on this one. |

It appears that the case may be Marburg instead of Ebola. Very similar. The lady came from Uganda where they are having an issue with that.

Kenyan woman who died at JKIA tests negative for Ebola--
The Kenyan woman who died at JKIA on Saturday night has tested negative for Ebola and Marburg virus. Health officials says she died of gynacological problem afte she bled through her private parts. The Director of Medical Services Dr Ncholas Muraguri said Medical examination conducted on her blood samples at the Kenya Medical Research Institute (KEMRI) and the Center for Disease Control and Prevention laboratories however, turned negative. According to a source at JKIA health centre, the female passenger on board Kenya Airways flight KQ 355 alighted at 6.45pm with high fever and was bleeding. Sources says the patient, a Kenyan lady from Gatandu, was taken to the Port Health centre where she died at around 8pm on Saturday. Speaking at the airport Sunday, Health CS James Macharia said the woman complained that she was feeling dizzy and started bleeding profusely minutes after she arrived. “She was quickly quarantined at the screening center in critical condition until all tests were done. Doctor attempted to resuscitate her but she unfortunately passed on at 8pm,” he said. Sources at the airport says health officials and airport staff deserted the terminal for hours after the death of the passenger. The negative test means Kenya, which has been ranked as a high Ebola outbreak risk country by World Health Organisation, can breath a sigh of relief. The deadly Ebola virus has so far claimed 4,000 lives in West Africa, while Marburg virus has already claimed a life in Uganda.
