Could someone clarify as I can't find answer.

When I look at figures it says samples tested.

Is this literally the amount of samples tested or the amount of people tested.

It matters as people get 2/3 samples done at different location, throat, nasal, sputum, sometimes even faeces.

So if it says 1000 tested does that mean 1000 people or maybe 330 people each getting 3 locations.  Can it also mean multiple serial tests done on positive patients throughout the course of their disease.

Anyone any idea because I am getting suspicious about the way the numbers are being reported.

Please put my mind at rest because if it's per sample then we may be testing 2/3 people less than we are making out we are.

So is number the samples tested or individuals tested ?

Hz x

I haven't seen any clarification on this.

I read last week (?) that some places are testing groups of patients at once - mixing multiple samples together to see if there is any positive in the group. I don't remember where I saw it, or what country.

And yes, this is kinda of a pretty important thing that should be public and not hidden!
