On the news tonight we had a report from the BBC saying that the epicentre of the pandemic was shifting from Europe to the US. it's not looking good. |

With most countries only testing those who come to the hospital with symptoms, or in the case of china, no testing at all, I don't credit much validity to any countries statistics. Why would we expect the U.S. numbers to be reliable when trump, other politicians, and business leaders pushing for people to go to work? |

The headline maybe correct BUT this is the 4th straight day of a decline in new cases. We always knew that there was a lag between reported cases and deaths. These deaths where people that got sick weeks ago. |

I would think every one infected would have died by now, even if the SIP'rs died, it should have dropped. Countries that have lifted restrictions infections rise again. Though scientists say it is not manipulated, I am starting to lean that way or it is airborne. |

People just take so long to die with this virus. It can be over 6 weeks! If the numbers are dropping, then so will the death toll - but not quickly. |

Oh, and its a coronavirus. All the other human coronaviruses are airborne. The 'airborne' ones are usually upper respiratory tract viruses, which is part of the way they earn the airborne classification. This one likes the lower respiratory tract, so it might not meet all the criteria. But it is as near as 'dammit' is to swearing. |

My neighbors on both sides of me are home now and it is like nothing is going on.gathering well beyond the limits, I don't want to share the air so I have been going outside at the crack of dawn, I am getting paranoid even at 50 ft. Being inside all winter I usually spend a lot of time outside now,but as soon as they start coughing I will forfeit the seasons till a vaccine or an effective treatment comes along. Sigh..... |

Wuhan hospitals had low level virus in the air. I am hoping it stays cool late in season,will hold off opening windows. older air conditioners had a switch where you could have a closed circulation,new ones don't have it. Wet towels and high velocity fan when it is hot will have to do. |
