With cases rising rapidly, a military general with no medical experience leading the Ministry of Health, and a president admitting there’s no proof his preferred treatment will work, Brazil has become one of the countries hardest hit by the coronavirus.

Brazil has the "honour" of being the country posting most new cases (20,803) knocking USA (20,475 cases) into second place on yesterday's data.

USA still has the "honour" of most deaths (1,088), but Brazil is close behind (1.001 deaths) for the same day.

Because the Corvid19 pandemic hit North America before it moved south, Brazil has a long way to catch up with the USA on total per-capita figures for the whole outbreak.

I'm surprised that rolling death average isn't higher.  They must only be averaging in numbers from the cities.  Or, they CAN only average in numbers from the cities.

Brazil has swiftly risen up the grim board of coronavirus statistics and its death toll - 41,828 - is now the world's second highest.  [<- I 'borrowed' most of that from a BBC report]

Brazil becomes second country to hit one million cases

https://www.bbc.com/news/world-latin-america-53092196

But they still have a way to catch up with USA in deaths per capita:

USA has 360 / million and Brazil is "only" at 222 / million.

Peru and Ecuador are reporting a similar mortality rate to Brazil [228 and 236], but all three could be under-reporting.

Mmmmm under counting......

Why would they do that lol

Let's see what happens next few weeks in the USA.....

Everything we hear is an opinion, not a fact. Everything we see is a perspective, not the truth.🖖
