In case anyone needs to know how I really feel....and has there ever been an election where a President had to build a wall around the White House? Or stores had to be boarded up on Election Eve?

I was talking to an old friend in NM by way of Texas this afternoon.  We may be on the opposite sides of the aisle, but neither one of us remembers anything like this.  We agreed that we don't recognize this country anymore.  It's heartbreaking.  Something has to change.  She admitted to me that Trump is not "her candidate".  She may be an old line Republican, but she voted blue.

Well, Tabitha, this is by no means scientific, but in the community next to mine, the folks are quite wealthy, and usually vote Republican.  But this time around, the Biden signs outnumber the Trump signs 5 to 1.  The only caveat is, we're in one of the traditionally blue counties, although it went Trump last time around.  Who knows how the traditionally red counties in the middle of the state are gonna do.  Fingers crossed.

I don't know ViQueen.  I think so though.  I know my friend is not the only Republican in my acquaintance who voted blue.  Actually, most of them did.

So;  I hope Biden wins.  But whoever wins, I hope they do it by a really big margin - even if the winner is Trump. Because those boards look like equal protection from BOTH sides.

Big or small margin if Trump wins the left won't accept it and that's why the cities are boarded up. The right historically doesn't riot due to election results( or any other reason), 2016 results shows the left does and most likely will if they don't win. 

The 60's were a lot more divided than now.

And as far as using profanity in posts goes Techno?????

I would be just as worried about the right, as Trump (unlike any other Republican leader in living memory) appears to condone violence.
