Given human induced climate change, Is a population reduction that bad ??? As long as it's not me or mine might be the answer, Are we due for a major war ? What was decided at Glasgow behind closed doors ??? Covid20 could be the "slate wiper"....... Take care all 😷😉💉 |

Good info at https://outbreak.info/location-reports?loc=DEU or https://outbreak.info/location-reports?loc=DEU ; sequences detected last 60 days. So it also still includes one non Delta+variant (B.1617,2 =25%= "old Delta") but for the rest all Delta+ subvariants; AY.43, (=33%) AY.4 (=9%), AY.46.6 (=5%), AY.9 (=4%), AY.42 (3%), AY.46 (3%), AY.33 (2%) also info on the numbers/mutations involved. The rest at 15% could involve new upcoming Delta+ subvariants... Weekly german trends https://www.worldometers.info/coronavirus/weekly-trends/#weekly_table or https://www.worldometers.info/coronavirus/weekly-trends/#weekly_table cases +35%, deaths +127% ... |

Germany’s carnival season, a series of festivals among German Catholics, began Thursday but under strict COVID-19 restrictions, because of a surge in new infections in the nation. Costumed revelers in the western city of Cologne had to line up Thursday to show proof of their COVID-19 vaccinations before they could start the outdoor celebrations. Last year’s festivals were canceled altogether because of the coronavirus pandemic. The carnivals are being held despite the fact Germany is undergoing a fourth wave of COVID-19 infections, setting a record Wednesday for the number of daily infections. And while the vaccine requirement was strictly enforced, the streets of Cologne were filled with people, side by side, without masks. Thursday’s celebrations began with a somewhat ominous sign - designated so-called prince for the Cologne carnival, Sven Oleff, had tested positive for COVID-19 the previous day, a breakthrough case since he is fully vaccinated. The festival committee said he showed no symptoms and was feeling well. |

BERLIN -- Germany's health minister said Friday that more than one per cent of the population -- almost a million people -- are currently infected with the coronavirus, and called on citizens to get vaccinated if they haven't done so yet. The country confirmed 74,352 new daily COVID-19 cases and 390 additional deaths, figures published by the federal disease control agency showed. According to the Robert Koch Institute's calculations, some 925,800 people in Germany are considered actively infected with the virus. |
