Based on https://sargasso.nl/de-komende-corona-crash/ or https://sargasso.nl/de-komende-corona-crash/ ;

Positive Test  (PT) to Hospital (H) is 8 days - 1,7% of cases

PT to IC is 12 days - 0,35% of cases

Translation 1,000 cases (PT) today would see 17 hospital cases after 8 days, 3,5 IC cases after 12 days...

roni3470-good question...the numbers I did write are based on the article...It may not even be "national guide lines" or so...Other countries may have other rules on when they take in patients for hospital/ICU care...

In NL an over 80 y/o may NOT get ICU care that often because-as far as I know-often there is not that much point...You prolong suffering...(they do get treatment, pain/fear medication etc...In some other countries age is not a criterium...in practice this often means old people dying on ICU beds...).

https://coronadashboard.government.nl/ or https://coronadashboard.government.nl/ could answer your question...

The reason why I started this PT-H-IC item is we now have over 20,000 cases per day with 1/4 of the UK population...so it would be like the UK had 80,000-90,000 cases per day...

There is growing discussion on a lockdown to prevent a doomscenario...but we could be in that scenario earlier then in steps to prevent that...
