DJ-Reading the article I see a lot of things in common with (a.o.) NL; Politics not deciding anything...fear of losing votes in elections, disunity between memberstates/regions and a central government...Also how to work with QR-codes (vaccine passports...=G1, +tested positive-recovered ="natural immunity"=G2, then some countries also work with recent testing negative giving "freedom" (a.o. for travel) for 24-72 hrs.... Mandatory vaccinations in Austria will mean you will get a fine if you did not take a vaccine...is the basic idea...(not that a few strong persons will pick you up and push a needle in your arm...as far as I did read not a single country is going that far...maybe North Korea would go that way...). So will making vaccinations mandatory result in 100% of the people (5 y/o+, 12 y/o+, 18 y/o+) getting vaccinated ? I do not expect so ! It will worsen the allready excisting tensions...while not bringing in the results... Another point is are vaccines getting us out of this pandemic ? Why make vaccines mandatory ? I think you have to underline vaccines offer still good protection against severe disease ! A positive message ! Many countries see over 80% (some even 90%+) of the population (12+) being vaccinated without making vaccines mandatory ! A law may not result in more vaccines but more conflict... However-we did have mandatory vaccines in most countries in the past. In a later phase mandatory vaccines should remain an option ! Given the crisis many countries are in now the only tool effective is a lockdown...but again politics keep failing... The house is on fire but we do not want the house to get wet...so we let it burn... |
