The relationship between utopia and dystopia is in actuality not one simple opposition, as many utopian elements and components are found in dystopias as well, and vice versa.

DJ In a democracy people elect representatives to work on their behalf-for the public interests. This Politics (from Greek: Πολιτικά, politiká, 'affairs of the cities') is the set of activities that are associated with making decisions in groups, or other forms of power relations among individuals, such as the distribution of resources or status.

In the "west" we had once the hope governments would function well enough for the general well being to provide us a future...

Of course it was not perfect, far from it...but we did get far...

Kicking the can down the road, in the hope time would offer a (better, more fitting) solution is what humans can and may do in complex matters...Maybe not "unwise" even...

However...

When time has to solve to many problems because politics fail a crisis is to be expected. 

With many problems you end op with many crises...not just one.

The key provision, the main principle is the sovereign equality of states. The U.S. flagrantly violates its obligations under the UN Charter when it promotes its ‘rules’”.

Lavrov had to stress, once again, that the current incandescent situation may be compared to the Cuban Missile Crisis: “In those years, there was a channel of communication that both leaders trusted. Now there is no such channel. No one is trying to create it.”

DJ, So on average 3x33,3%+ years of inflation would mean "hyperinflation".  Maybe a year-to-year inflation of 30%+ -for a shorter time-could be considered as "early hyperinflation"?

DJ, What does a person change from a friendly neighbour into "the killer next door" ? As happened in most civil wars ....Do we have (to have) a "moral compass" stopping us from doing things we may regret the rest of our lives ? 

Fact is-most of us seem to be "following" not "thinking" enough for themselves...I see myself as a pacifist-but when loved ones are in danger (including pets)or vulnerable are at risk (small children, the old) I do not know what I would do...

I was very lucky so far not to have lived in a war-zone...
