DJ,

Why are we in this global crisis ?

The only thing I can think of the US refusal to talk over Russia security...We did see lots of arms-agreements in the past...US-Soviet Union, Non Prolifiation etc..We did have an Iran-deal..One of the major mistakes trump made is giving all those agreements up...not renewing them...

The hope was biden would be able to undo that damage but...no....

Some "US democrats" defend the "idea/claim" "Putin made trump US president...Putin was able to steal the US elections-did steal victory (in votes) from h.clinton...trump did win more "electors"...I think the US system of electing a President/POTUS needs to get much better if it ends up in problems 3 times this century (Bush/Gore was also problematic...)

How bad is it ?

We are now getting closer to nuclear/global war then ever before in history...It has become a "west against the rest" story. With Putin playing the neo-colonialism card...however ideas of a "global NATO" defending US uni-polar rule...The US as "global boss" ...is no longer welcomed by BRICS, OPEC+, SCO etc...

The US-for now with EU, Japan, Australia/New Zealand on its side in confrontation not only with Russia but also China, India...second and third largest economies....

Role of Ukraine ?

In 2008 NATO agreed Ukraine and Georgia-both former memberstates of the Soviet Union (1917-1991)-could/should join NATO...However Russia claims/sticks to a 1990 promise NATO would not move further east then Germany...Russia does not accept US missiles that close to its borders...In 2014 a western coup ended the pro-Russian regime in Kiev...starting an uprising of Russian Ukrainians...When you look at the history of Ukraine their relations with (other parts of) Russia is problematic...Under stalin millions of Ukrainins starved their grain was exported...

Zelensky did get elected with the promise of bringing peace...however early this year Russia claims Ukraine-with NATO help-was preparing to attack the Russian Ukrainians in the east of Ukraine. Russia is now in Ukraine to "protect the Russian Ukrainians"...(And yes...extreme right wing groups are governing Ukraine at the moment...but you have to put it in historic perspective...when nazi-germany invaded Ukraine in 1941 they ended stalin-terror...).

Present situation ?

When Russia invaded Ukraine in february this year Russia may have hoped for an uprising in Ukraine-welcoming Russian forces...however for most of Ukraine there was not a "warm welcome". Russian support was welcomed in the Donbas-East Ukraine...however most of the fighting still is done by ethnic Russians from Luhansk and Donetsk -also a third army-made up of most pro-Russian Ukrainians has joined this war.

The west did support Ukraine with finance, weapons, intel, propaganda, to a level there is now a NATO-Ukraine Army fighting Russia. But that army is NOT winning the war...(if it was why is there still a war?)  However further western escalation-longer range weapons-may be used by Ukraine to attack targets inside Russia...

Russia will NOT accept NATO weapons being used against targets inside Russia from Ukraine (on a major scale). It shall see that as a NATO attack-via Ukraine-on Russia...

Role of China, Iran etc...

The basic problem is the US wants to stay global #1...with the US$ as a global main currency....even if it means damaging the Euro/€....So far EU leaders were willing to "follow US orders"...but Europe may get destroyed in this conflict...

Th "west" went for economic sanctions against a lot of countries...however "the west" does NOT control landroutes in Asia...So Russia-Iran-India, Russia-China trade did replace the Russian trade with "the west"...sanctions backfire...the west still buying Russian energy...from uranium to oil-products made of Russian oil but sold buy India, Türkiye as diesel, kerosine...at much higher prices...

Way out ?

Two directions; escalation to all out nuclear war-killing us all or talks...."the west" has to make a choice...further escalation in Ukraine, starting other crises, Taiwan, Syria, Armenia, Serbia will bring us global war...the west against Russia, Iran, China etc. "no winners"...

We once had diplomacy...we once had agreements on limitation on weapons, troops etc...what is wrong with diplomacy?

We cannot solve our problems with the same thinking we used when we created them.

Alexander Mercouris/AM https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=rhyqhulOaKQ or https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=rhyqhulOaKQ ; Russia Continues Encirclement of Bakhmut, Parries Ukrainian Counterattacks; Putin, Modi and Xi Meet in Samarkand News Topic 614

DJ Also on western (US/EU) sanctions on Turkish banks using the Russian Mir-card (Mir=peace)....the outcome only will be pushing Türkiye further away from the west to a point AM never expected to see Türkiye leaving NATO...

Erdogan, Modi from India, Xi-China, Putin-Rusia, Rezi-Iran all did meet in Samarkand Uzbekistan...

What was on the agenda; https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=XhCAZC5X4oY or https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=XhCAZC5X4oY Redacted;Why is the U.S. so keen on a war with China? The Senate passed a bill to empower Taiwan in its conflict with China and China says that this could lead to a military conflict. Is this the best thing to do as China meets with Russia as allies?

and https://halturnerradioshow.com/index.php/en/news-page/world/country-of-georgia-says-it-s-considering-military-action-against-russia or https://halturnerradioshow.com/index.php/en/news-page/world/country-of-georgia-says-it-s-considering-military-action-against-russia ;The country of Georgia, located south of Russia, >lost part of its territory, South Ossetia, in a 2008 war. Their Prime Minister says they'll have a referendum to decide whether to re-open that war with Russia! But their military is much weaker than Ukraine and their government is split between pro and anti-Russia Members of Parliament.

(HT Remark: This has U.S., E.U. and NATO fingerprints all over it.  Their efforts at harming Russia are likely to cause a very bad Russian reaction; one they are not equipped to deal with.)

DJ...The US "deep state" now getting 6,5 billion US$ worth in military gear to Taiwan is seeking to protect US global dominance via wars...

A weak spot however is that it takes the US 1 month to produce the grenades the Ukraine is using in two days...A lot of US production capacity is gone to low income countries...globelized...

Russia in this "sanctions war" unable to export some goods to the west, export inside "EurAsia" not yet replacing the western market-did increase refinery capacity; so Russia is now producing more petrol, diesel, kerosine...also strategic Russian reserves are only going up...with the western reserves maybe not even enough for coming winter...

Military Summary mentioned the "Wagner group"visiting Russian prisons in search of "storm troopers" for the Ukraine war...Lots of countries have criminals/ex-prisinors in foreign legion/private military security...high risk-high pay "jobs" all over the world (linked to mining, oil/gas, logistics).

China will NOT accept Taiwan becoming a US-Okinawa XL-base....If the US is pushing in that direction China/Russia will react...

We cannot solve our problems with the same thinking we used when we created them.

A look at some reporting on the SCO-Samarkand meeting;

https://www.tehrantimes.com/news/476779/Xi-calls-ties-with-Iran-strategic-backs-Iran-s-membership-in or https://www.tehrantimes.com/news/476779/Xi-calls-ties-with-Iran-strategic-backs-Iran-s-membership-in BRICS ;

TEHRAN – The Chinese president on Friday praised Iran’s independent position toward international developments and called the relations between Beijing and Tehran “strategic”.

“The relations of Iran and China is strategic and will develop irrespective of any international event,” Xi Jinping said in a meeting with Iranian President Ebrahim Raisi who has attended the Shanghai Cooperation Organization (SCO) summit in Samarkand, Uzbekistan.

Xi also pointed to Iran’s important position in the region and the larger world and said, “China supports the membership of Iran in BRICS.”

BRICS is the acronym coined to associate five major emerging economies: Brazil, Russia, India, China and South Africa.

Xi also invited Raisi to visit China.

DJ, There is also "TIP" Türkiye-Iran-Pakistan cooperation-a main link for China-Europe/Africa trade...With Saudi Arabia, Egypt, Türkiye also showing interests in BRICS, SCO etc.

Since Iran is also the link between Russia (via Caspian Sea) to India further NATO/Israel threats are "very unwelcome" for EurAsia...

Xi, Putin meet at SCO summit, forging closer ties amid US-caused world turbulence

Chinese President Xi Jinping said China is ready to work with Russia in extending strong support to each other on issues concerning their respective core interests when he met with Russian President Vladimir Putin on the sidelines of the Shanghai Cooperation Organisation (SCO) summit in the ancient Silk Road city of Samarkand, Uzbekistan on Thursday.

-

Xi also said China and Russia should expand pragmatic cooperation, safeguard the security and interests of the region, and preserve the common interests of developing countries and emerging market countries, according to Xinhua

Analysts said the two leaders' summit is a crucial guarantee for the steady development of bilateral ties, signaling that China-Russia relations will not be affected by external noises. At the same time, China will also be on high alert against attempts by the US and the West to tie China and Russia into a political and military bloc and drive a wedge between the pair and the rest of the world.

DJ...The US claims China is the major risk for the US....China "did accept the invitation".....

Using human rights topics to attack developing countries, drawing small circles to smear countries with different systems, spreading groundless rumors or even starting wars under the disguise of anti-terrorism efforts … such moves have often been used by the US and some other Western counties.

With the start of the 51st regular session of the Human Rights Council on September 12, a number of US-led Western countries have ramped up efforts in pushing such "battle" against developing countries. The US and some Western forces' fierce hyping of topics about China's Xinjiang region is only the latest example of using human rights as a weapon to slander China and other developing countries. The Global Times reporters interviewed Chinese and overseas scholars on how developing countries could respond.

US attack strategy

Using human rights as a weapon has been a tradition of the US, and the release of the annual Country Reports on Human Rights Practices by the US Department of State has been criticized by analysts as a move to wield this stick.

DJ-out of a global 8 million people in prison over 2 million are in US prisons...racism is the "US norm"...

 https://www.globaltimes.cn/page/202209/1275377.shtml or https://www.globaltimes.cn/page/202209/1275377.shtml ;

Warships from China and Russia have embarked on the second joint naval patrol in the Pacific Ocean shortly after the Russia-led Vostok-2022 strategic drills earlier this month, a move experts said on Thursday will demonstrate the two countries' responsibility as major powers and contribute to regional peace and stability.

During the patrol, which is part of the implementation of the military cooperation program between China and Russia, the two countries' warships will conduct joint tactical maneuvering, communications between the ships in the group, and exercises involving live-fire artillery shooting and flights of vessel-based helicopters, according to a press release by the Russian Defense Ministry on Thursday.

The tasks of the patrol are to strengthen naval cooperation between China and Russia, maintain peace and stability in the Asia-Pacific region, monitor the sea area and safeguard maritime economic activities by China and Russia, the press release said.

DJ, my translation...if the US wants a war it can get a war....IF Japan gets involved to much it could face a conflict with both Russia and China...

Maybe another point; Korea was a Japanese "colony" from 1895 till 1945...Japan terror killed millions of Koreans...like Japan China had to deal with Japan terror...It was the US that https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=OxhrX20i62s or https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=OxhrX20i62sThe international effort to bring Japanese war criminals to justice was actively thwarted and sabotaged by the US occupation authorities led by General MacArthur and President Truman's administration in Washington. Why? Because Japan was needed as a postwar ally of the US to help stop the spread of Communism. But this meant that finding justice for the hundreds of thousands of Allied POWs, internees and local civilians who had been maltreated and often murdered by Japanese troops during WWII was very difficult. Many of the guilty were never charged, while those given prison terms were let out early. Dr. Mark Felton is a well-known British historian,

https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=ObCxo7qFLRI or https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=ObCxo7qFLRI Weeb Union/WU on Russia attacking Inhulets-river dams...

Two errors;

-Russia attacked another dam more to the north https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=Yzb-fv0WZJY or https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=Yzb-fv0WZJY military summary/MS claims

and

-Flooding not only destroyed the ponton bridges but also other bridges between the dams and the Dnjepr river...Since the bridges in the Russian held area already were gone Russia did succeed in using water as a weapon on this frontline...Ukraine may see more logistics problems...

Also rains are expected-so NO ..WU also gets its wrong there...The Ukraine forces involved in a (limited) offensive south of the Inhulets river in the Kherson area are facing serious problems...may have to surrender...

MS reports Russian artillery/missiles/air force did not stop killing hundreds of Ukraine military each day...Ukraine is running out of means of defense...Russia now trying to use rivers as borders on most of the frontline...shelling Ukraine positions...cutting of power and then shell military trains...

Both further destruction of infrastructure and bad weather will make more western weapons for Ukraine reaching frontlines harder...

DJ-This war should have been prevented ! It is a crime against humanity-killing over 100,000 people since the start...Why the "west" keeps refusing any talks on "European security" ...

We had all kinds of agreements between the US/NATO and the Soviet Union/Russia in the past...why NATO is going for regime change in Moscow ? Followed by regime change in Tehran, Bejing ??? This is western-criminal-insanity !!!

We cannot solve our problems with the same thinking we used when we created them.

https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=Yzb-fv0WZJY or https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=Yzb-fv0WZJY The New Atlas;

The Western media based on US Army market surveys is taking notice of critical shortages of munitions among US stockpiles and what is available to send Ukraine. The shortages undoubtedly have and will continue to manifest themselves on the battlefield in the form of Ukrainian forces being constantly outgunned.

New Atlas/NA; The west has to think on how it believes it can keep Ukraine in this war...

NATO production capacity-and ways to get basic materials-may simply not be enough to keep this Ukraine war going...

Russia itself has both basic materials an industry for large scale production of weapons...On top of that possibly even countries like Egypt, India may be willing to provide Russia with more weapons (for oil...).

The "west" does not seem to have a long term strategy...

NA also mentioning western claims of massive Russian losses...without either proof or logics...Russia has far more fire power then Ukraine...even NATO admits that...so how would Russia see thousends of its soldiers being killed ? Russia protects its (pro)Russian fighters by going for "long distance warfare"...artillery, missiles, air force...There is no logics behind claims of massive Russian losses...at least so far...

Newer-long range-weapons could be used against logistics/industry inside Russia...but Russia/"the rest" will not accept the "west" attacking the rest its energy, food supply and market for consumer goods from India, China, Iran, Türkiye...

So-again-it is the "west" driving high speed in a dead end road...with no clear plans other then "weakening both Russia and China"...

Western leaders have become insane...

WION India https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=I4Le42xb8vM or https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=I4Le42xb8vM ; Indian Prime minister Narendra Modi who is in Samarkand addressed the SCO leaders on Day 2 of the summit. During his speech PM Modi emphasized on how the country supports the mutual trust among SCO leaders. He also raised the issue of transit rights between member states.

DJ; India expects an economic growth of 7,5% per year....India is buying energy from both Russia and Iran (a.o.) both countries facing US agression....

One of the problems India would like to see discussed is better-open-trade via Pakistan to Iran, Afghanistan...The SCO may be the right place for this kind of questions...China may support India as next "president" of the SCO, so a next meeting may be held in India...But it also underlines improving India-China relations...

https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/India%E2%80%93Russia_relations or https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/India%E2%80%93Russia_relations ;

During the Cold WarIndia and the Soviet Union (USSR) had a strong strategic, military, economic and diplomatic relationship. After the dissolution of the Soviet Union, Russia inherited its close relationship with India which resulted in both nations sharing a special relationship. Russia and India both term this relationship as a "special and privileged strategic partnership".

Traditionally, the Indo-Russian strategic partnership has been built on five major components: politicsdefencecivil nuclear energyanti-terrorism co-operation and space.[1] These five major components were highlighted in a speech given by former Indian Foreign Secretary Ranjan Mathai in Russia.[1] However, in recent years a sixth, economic component has grown in importance, with both countries setting a target of reaching US$30 billion in bilateral trade by 2025,[2][3] from about US$9.4 billion in the year 2017.[4] In order to meet this goal, both countries are looking to develop a free trade agreement.[5][6][7] Bilateral trade between both countries in 2012 grew by over 24%.[7][needs update]

The IRIGC (India-Russia Intergovernmental Commission) is the main body that conducts affairs at the governmental level between both countries.[8] Both countries are members of international bodies including the UNBRICSG20 and SCO.[9] Russia has stated that it supports India receiving a permanent seat on the United Nations Security Council.[10] In addition, Russia has expressed interest in joining SAARC with observer status in which India is a founding member.[11][12]

India is the second largest market for the Russian defence industry. In 2017, approximately 68% of the Indian military's hardware import came from Russia, making Russia the chief supplier of defence equipment.[13][failed verification] India has an embassy in Moscow and two consulates-general (in Saint Petersburg and Vladivostok). Russia has an embassy in New Delhi and six consulate-generals (in ChennaiGoaHyderabadKolkataMumbai and Trivandrum).[14]

According to a 2014 BBC World Service Poll, 85% of Russians view India positively, with only 9% expressing a negative view.[15] Similarly, a 2017 opinion poll by the Moscow-based non-governmental think tank Levada-Center states that Russians identified India as one of their top five "friends", with the others being BelarusChinaKazakhstan and Syria.[16] Polls show that 60% people support the Indian government's handling of the Russo-Ukrainian war, while 50% agreed to the sanctions imposed by other nations on Russia, according to LocalCircles, a community social media platforms.

DJ, India is critical of the Russian invasion of Ukraine however puts its own interests before joining any (western) sanctions...India is blaming the west for not providing support for matters that are of interest for India...

The idea that India would become a US/NAT/West partner is an illusion...UK colonialism did bring two centuries of disaster is the India view...liz truss UK "PM"...(insane...) calling for a "global nato" is very unwelcome in as good as all non-western countries...most of them with a history of colonial exploitation followed by "western ruled international trade" that did keep them poor...

It is shocking how even western "progressive" parties simply are blind for the neo-colonial western agenda the rest of the world disgusts...The US wars to weaken Russia and China are seen by the rest of the world as saving western neo-colonial rule, US$ dominance...

We cannot solve our problems with the same thinking we used when we created them.
