A variant of Covid with 110 mutations has been found in a patient in Indonesia. |

Interesting read, in part in how the article downplays the risks... There are some indications Long CoViD may often be chronic CoViD...not only in people with previous immunity issues (like HIV...but there are also questions from people with ME/CFS -very likely a post viral disease). So how many people may be developing all kinds of mutations in organs in their body. Lots of tests may miss the ongoing CoViD infection hiding in only one or a few places...Stool testing was described on twitter-the water around the "dropping" should have enough virus particles...so the DIY-tests could be used for testing here...before they expire...(and expire date may be extended maybe for a few months...I think very likely not for years-by keeping it in a cool dry place-often where people also keep their medication/supplements). The article describes a Delta-variant...for over a year all (new0 variants are named "O-micron" (small o in Greek, O-mega is large O)...so we may be in for lots of unpleasant surprises...no doubt downplayed by embedded media... |

Right at the start of Covid vaccines, they were initially not recommended for immuno compromised patients and I remember reading that this was because of higher chance of Covid mutating in a person with a compromised immune system. This was quickly backtracked and after that vulnerable people were given priority shots. |

DJ, non sterilizing vaccines in people with already excisting immunity problems -if they do catch CoViD- I think the outcome could be an increase of risk for chronic CoViD ? With the corona-virus hanging around for months-even years ??? https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=B_efnqnZ-yI or https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=B_efnqnZ-yI indie_SAGE on the "idea" over time "virusses do become milder"... On this, Independent SAGE's Prof Steve Griffin tackles the myth that viruses always evolve to become milder. DJ...there is a difference between the disease a virus may bring and the virus itself...The idea is people develop immunity against disease...so the virus infecting a host may see the host better able to deal with that virus...However the virus"goal" is to find ways to get as many "baby-virusses" as possible... DJ In the "best" scenario the virus could try other than human hosts...and stay away from humans...We do see CoViD spreading in mammals...with mink-like animals, likely also cat-like animals-the CoViD virus may go from human-animal back to human again...picking up mutations/recombinations (from possibly animal virus so far NOT a risk for humans) and -on the longer term- only increasing risks... Bats may have over 30 different corona virusses...hosts with both CoViD and MERS may also "produce" new variants... DJ-My -non expert- view on vaccines in this health crisis...If they are non-sterilizing (at best) only limiting disease/symptoms than those vaccines -in the long run- can cause MORE problems via immunity-evading-mutation selection...Non-sterilizing vaccines by time (and profits...) only for some time... It would be interesting to see if there could be a study on chronic CoViD infection and how the different types of vaccine (or no vaccine) worked out...If -indeed- vaccinated end up with more chronic CoViD than we -again- have to "rethink our strategy"...(more Non pharma Interventions) -In general there was and is an alternative for mass vaccinations-unseen in human history...Reduce travel, reduce meat consumption, reduce human contacts (shop/study/work from home)...masks, ventilation as a "new normal"....At present we have over 8 billion people eating unseen number of animals and flying over the planet like crazy... Pandemic triangle= disease-transport-host... DJ...it looks like "we" do not want to learn...Like we do not want to learn from history...because we get confronted with our own mistakes...So we rather copy mistakes than learn... |
