(Unsure why this didn't appear as a hot topic, but shows as an event?) |

Accept responsibility for your choices and actions. Failure to choose is in itself a choice for non-action.

https://www.wormsandgermsblog.com/2023/11/articles/animals/dogs/mystery-dog-respiratory-disease-or-not-and-antibiotics-or-not/ or https://www.wormsandgermsblog.com/2023/11/articles/animals/dogs/mystery-dog-respiratory-disease-or-not-and-antibiotics-or-not/ lots of unknowns....; This could be something new, but more likely, it’s the usual suspects doing their usual thing (possibly at higher rates in some areas, as fairly commonly occurs periodically). In the unlikely event this is something new, it’s likely viral. It’s much less likely to be something bacteria. DJ, Since there is both H5N1 and CoViD spreading in mammals maybe-MAYBE-there could be a direct link...Maybe there was a co-infection with a virus already widespread in dogs...So that viral disease may have changed... Good it was noticed...lots of disease spread is going unnoticed...But we need to learn more... There is "that much going on in the world" people may simply run into systemoverload... |

I think it came up as an event because you filled in the date when starting a new thread. If you leave it empty then it just shows as a topic. I've edited the date out of your original post. |

Those who got it wrong, for whatever reason, may feel defensive and retrench into a position that doesn’t accord with the facts.

I've just seen that pneumonia outbreak reported in China in our press here in NZ. I'm thinking it sounds like RSV. We've had a huge outbreak of RSV here since Easter. One of my children caught it and I caught it from him. I felt ill for about 4 or 5 days, like I had a really heavy cold, headache, sore throat, very runny nose, then I started to feel better and then came the cough that lasted about 3 weeks. Speaking with friends, that seems to be the standard progression of it. We're all better now. I note that the pneumonia hasn't killed anyone yet, and the children are recovering. I wonder if it's the same thing? |
