I know the tension that is coming down from the developments that have occured within the last few days. I also know the tendency to panic or to argue over what will develope due to the diverse opinions and ideas and sporadic information and the frustration and causes us to want to point fingers. Can we agree to keep this in the forefront of our minds? This is a virus that has no feeling or conscience, nor does it recognises gender, race, religion, sex, age, or species. It is the ultimate killing machine that has only one goal in mind, it's survival! Consider it the ultimate serial killer. We must be able to recognise that fact and stop pointing fingers here and there and come together collectively to pass knowledge, ideas and helpful hints to ensure our survival as a race. Do not come to this forum and blast people for their political, religious views,etc.. We are all here for the same purpose. to gather as much information as possible to allow ourselves to make the most enlightened decision to ensure our survival. We must not feel the need to squash those who disagree but instead allow them the time to soak up the knowledge that we as a human race collectively have to perpetuate this. For Who knows? It could be a teen-ager who does not have tunnel vision, thatcomes up with the answer to stop this! OKAY I'll get down off my soap-box now! I Love you all! Meewee |

Have I missed something? Did we have some bashing recently? Not talking about the DOOM dust-up. I am so pleased and proud of the fact that we are probably the most well behaved and civil lot on the net. Can I still make fun stupid statements made in the press? If you would rather I not, I can live with that, but I think it's kinda healthy to be able to vent once in a while. |

No Sophia it's not that. I just came back from another forum where a 20 yr. old and his age relevants were trying to put the blame for what was happening upon all us baby boomers and that really upset me. The time for finger pointing is long past...it's time to come together and work as one for all of our survival. It broke my heart that this child was willing to risk his life to become immune because he did not have the money, or the support from his family or friends , to prepare. That is why I ask this. I want this forum to be the most everyone, regardless or whatever situation, friendly to support somome in this situation. Meewee |

Agreed. I cant think of a situation where a massive and devastating pandemic flu would be the fault of; baby boomers, the president, that unknowing infected person sitting on the plane, the mayor, the congress or any other person. There are literally an infinite number of vectors a flu (or any nasty virus) could take into this country. The only (still unguaranteed) way to prevent the spread of that virus is to confine the whole damn country to their homes, which would be impossible anyway. This is the price of freedom, and the payment is to BE RESPONSIBLE FOR YOURSELF. Then help others to the best of your abilities, be it through food donation, monetary donation, habitation and last but NOT least, INFORMATION. Hey Meewee, dont feel bad because of some uneducated young punk. For every intelligent, informed and prepared one of us, there are 1000 dumbasses out there. Just be resolved to do that much more to save a life.

Let us old timers not be too rough on the youngsters. We have something they don't as yet, the school of HARD KNOCKS. They will learn as we did, but let us help them, so they may help the next generation.
This is why I post simple and cheap things I know, things I have LEARNED from older folks. I don't worry about what folks say on the net. You never know who it is, or why they try to cause dissent in the groups. If I don't agree with a site context, I stay away from it. If we don't continue an argument, the BITCHERS will get bored and go away. |

Sophie, poking fun at all of the dishonesty of government and denial by government officials is fair game. |

My interest is that all the news gets analyzed. Yesterday, Iraqi report: Hassan became Naji, etc. China's incubation coincides with initial Iraqi report: Jan 3 or so. Then posts disappeared. Too many conflicting reports now.....and what at pandemic time? Practice chaosmosis now, regret less later.

Welll done Meewee! I agree that we are unstoppable if we all work together. People tend to fight each other on other forums. We all work together on this forum. |

I concur. I just registered on this forum but thus far it may just save my family's life. I would have never thought of getting a pneumonia shot had it not been for perusing this forum for several weeks. Thanks to all of you!
