China announces 7th human death of bird flu
www.chinaview.cn 2006-01-25 20:00:20

BEIJING, Jan. 25 (Xinhuanet) -- The Ministry of Health has confirmed another human death from bird flu, bringing the death tally in China to seven.

The new fatality is a 29-year-old woman, surnamed Cao, from Jinhua Town of Chengdu City in southwest China's Sichuan Province, the ministry's information office told Xinhua.

Cao was identified as the 10th human case in China on Monday, after being hospitalized in a critical condition, according to the ministry. Three of the 10 patients are either recovered or under treatment.

On Jan. 12, she showed fever and pneumonia symptoms. Her samples tested H5N1 positive.

The office failed to provide more details about the victim, but said it is probing into the source of her infection and any possible bird flu outbreak among poultry in the area where she lived.

Cao's death brought the country's bird flu fatalities to seven. She was the second bird flu death in Sichuan. The other deaths were reported in the provinces of Anhui, Jiangxi, Fujian, and in the Guangxi Zhuang Autonomous Region.

Eighth human bird flu patient out of quarantine

The eighth bird flu patient in the central province of Hunan has been removed from quarantine,a local hospital source said Wednesday.

After a month's treatment, the 6-year-old patient surnamed Ouyang has recovered and can communicate and play with doctors and nurses like a normal child, said Zhu Yimin, head of the Hunan Provincial Children's Hospital.

The result of the patient's medical exams showed that he would not transfer the disease to other people, Zhu said.

His parents can now visit their son in the ward where they would celebrate the Chinese Lunar New Year.

The boy was confirmed on Jan. 9 to have been infected with H5N1bird flu. He suffered serious damages on both lungs at the beginning.

Ouyang had fever and pneumonia symptoms on Dec. 24. He was transferred to the hospital on Jan. 11 and has been under round-the-clock monitoring since then.

China reported 10 human cases of bird flu this winter. Seven of the patients died. Enditem

Nation lifts quarantine in all areas hit by avian flu
www.chinaview.cn 2006-01-27 21:47:37

BEIJING, Jan. 27 (Xinhuanet) -- Ministry of Agriculture has announced quarantine has been lifted in all areas affected by the avian flu on the Chinese mainland as an avian flu-affected area in southwest China was declared safe by local government earlier Friday.

Citing a report from the Quizhou provincial government, the ministry said quarantine was lifted Friday morning in a bird flu-hit area in southwestern Guizhou Province following all live bird were culled and no new case was reported in the epidemic area during the past 21 days.

Prior to the move, quarantine in 32 of the 33 areas hit by the disease on the mainland had been lifted by local governments after their epidemic situation was brought under control.

A ministry official said 33 counties or districts in 26 prefectures or cities in 14 provincial areas had been hit by the disease since last year. But the ministry urged precaution against any possible outbreak of new cases in the coming months.

With the approval by the Ministry of Agriculture, Wudang district in the provincial capital Guiyang was lifted of a three-week quarantine at 8:00 a.m.

The district was put under quarantine following an H5N1 avian influenza outbreak among quails on Jan. 6. The local live fowl market was closed, all sick and suspected birds culled and local chicken farms strictly sterilized.

No new case has been spotted by Friday and the quarantine work has been checked and accepted by an expert panel of the provincial quarantine authorities.

The provincial government has inspired quarantine authorities to step up inspection and disseminate bird flu prevention and control knowledge among fowl raisers and consumers. Enditem

And look at how many will flock to these areas for the lunar new year's celebration. I'm sorry, this just seems to me to be like the world is deliberately being set up for a pandemic and TPTB just don't seem to either realize it or care. I'm really nervous about this!

God Bless us all!

China is only releasing SOME of the information about Bird Flu outbreaks in their massive country.  There are some state secrets concerning Sichuan Sheet that they need to keep hidden.

As is the case with most people, when there is an effort to lie, the stories soon have holes and conflicts with other stories.  Totalitarian governments like China can quickly just issue a news release that negates other reports.  No big deal to them.  The news releases are for the fools who want to believe them.  Otherwise, "Mumms the word."  They do the silence thing very, very well, too.
