That is according to a strange set of listings for the court which appeared to call the famous Muppets to answer a case to the Crown Prosecution Service.

The listings appeared on official court documents published on Saturday, November 21.

Other unusual defendants include Fozzie Bear, Gonzo, Pepe The King Prawn and even Sal Minella (you probably don't want to get too close to her).

It appears Miss Piggy and Kermit weren't the only Muppets up to no good, as the listings also call for Dr Teeth and The Electric Mayhem (the Muppets' band) to appear alongside Camilla The Chicken.

As you may have surmised, the listings were in fact sent out in error - although they are very much real documents and were really sent out by the HMCTS court listings service.

Similar errors also occurred at Bradford Crown Court and Stoke Crown Court.

At Stoke Crown Court, Bugs Bunny was listed to appear alongside Tinkerbell and Captain Hook.

A spokesman for HMCTS said: "Sorry for the error - we’ve been testing a new upgrade to our case management system and the names were created as test cases but should have been deleted before the lists were issued/published.

"Our local team has updated the final list online, removing the test names/cases."
