Bucharest. The virus of the bird flu H5N1 has been confirmed in tests of a 

dead pigeon in the Romanian region of Constantia, Mediafax reports. The 

bird was discovered dead in the field near the village of Topraistar where 

there is active bird flu focus. Since the zone for monitoring of the wild and 

home poultry in the region, the agency points out.
