We disabled the multiple votes option. Also, "Guests" can no longer vote so we can keep the Poll smaller and more accurate. You have to login or register to cast your vote. And then there were 5 .....

McCain has done nothing for Arizona. 95% of the babies born at county hospital are born to illegals under the age of 18! It's ripping our healthcare system apart. They pay nothing and I pay $600 per month for limited coverage. "Now" he says he's listening to the people. He listens to whomever he can get the most votes from. It's all political. I doing a write in!

Hotair.............on McCain being moderate enough not to do any harm!!!..What kind of "ignorant" statement is that?>???.........Do you mean being "Passive" enough not to "Fight" our enemies? Or that he won't "Cut Taxes" for Working American Families!!! Or that he will give "amnesty" to millions of Illegal aliens??........I think I'm through with this "Left wing" web site!!...........Maybe the Bird flu wouldn't be such a bad thing............it would weed out many of the "Left wing" nuts!! |

Funny how word meanings have gotten twisted, The word libral, once meant free thinker, a person with vision, as our founding fathers were. Now it's become a slanderous word used by a party that proclaims to be for less government and indivual rights and state's rights.
All I see that has happened under the "right" leadership is more government, Bigger national debt, and when a state does something that the party in power doesn't like they try to get it overruled in their bias based supreme court. To ask that a pandemic comes to kill off the "left nuts" shows one that " Compassionate Conservative" is just another example of how extreme the right has become. Why don't you just march everyone to gas chambers that you don't agree with, there was once a party that thought they were "right" that did that too. After WW2 , they were war criminals and put on trial for it. The Founding Fathers would roll over in their graves to see all the divisions and hate that has spread over this land and how the meanings of words have become so twisted. The permament damage has been done : a 10 trillion dollar National debt. , Courts that are appointed because of shallow view points, people in power who in other times might be considered war criminals. And a loss of respect for people with opposite veiws. That is what's wrong with America, caused by people who think they are "right". |

YOU CANNOT BE "COMPASSIONATE" WITH LIBERALS!
AND THE " FOUNDING FATHERS" YOU SPEAK OF.......ARE DESPISED BY THE LEFT! WHY? BECAUSE THEY FOUNDED THIS COUNTRY ON "CONSERVITIVE PRINCIPLES" THAT YOU HATE!!! THEY BELIEVED IN GOD AND WOULD BE ABSOLUTLEY "BESIDE" THEMSELVES AT WHAT THE DEMOCRATS HAVE BECOME!!!
THOMAS JEFFERSON WAS RIGHT WHEN HE SAID, " SOMETIMES BLOOD HAS TO BE SPILLED" TO SAVE A DEMOCRACY!"......AND HE WROTE THE DECLARATION OF INDEPENDENCE'............A DOCUMENT THAT IS ALSO HATED BY THE LEFT!!!!
.....AND THE JUDGES THAT WERE APPOINTED BY BUSH WERE APPROVED BY THE DEMOCRATS IN CONGRESS. ......AND i THINK THEY ( Judges) ARE PROBABLY A HELL OF A LOT SMARTER THAN YOU!!......SO GO BACK TO YOUR CAVE AND KEEP WORRING ABOUT "GLOBAL WARMING".....AND THE NATIONAL DEBT!!

I have voted republican last election and was desponded Bush did not make this country stronger, more secure maybe time will tell, but not stronger I was hoping for a balance trade but we didn’t get it I don’t need a free health plan if we all have good solid employment that would guaranty us retirement then we can pay for the health plan
I voted for Hilary because 90 was the time when I wasn’t afraid too louse my job Some people like Obama but he doesn’t have any real solutions to the economic problems He will promise you the Moon just to get into the White House I can promise you the same and more if you would elect me Ex: Free house to all who wants one Free Car to all who needs one Free lunch is you vote for me Free 100,000 dollars to all who has 7 or more kids Free 100 acres of land to grow your food And I will do this by bringing Rep and Dem together Ha Ha Ha Ha Did any President made his promises come true No No No |

That is funny. Now they're calling themselves "Progressives." I just want to know: Progression to what? Personally I am very unhappy as to what has become of those I voted for. It says quite a lot that they have to change their name because of the fact that "Liberal" is now a political bad word. The problem with those that call themselves "Liberal" is that tehy more often than not espouse views that coincide more with those that are known as Socialists and Communists, rather than the free thinkers you talk of.
I totally agree! But than again, exactly how is this different from what the Democrats espoused and pushed for for years? Particularly when you talk of one party trying to legislate from the bench.
Hey now pal, don't lump us all together. Let us not forget that it was your chosen party that was reponsible for Janet Reno telling the BATF to "Burn them," and did their best to turn millions of law abiding Americans into criminals with penstrokes. Personally I'm a political centrist, I have views that are all over the political landscape, it's just that hypocrisy drives me nuts. The Left is just as extreme as the hard-core right.
Actually they were "Left." Since you are incorrectly attributing Nazi party values to modern day Republicans, I'll give you a teeny lesson. Nazi is a compound word from the words National Socialism (Nationalsozialismus) National Socialist Workers Party. They espoused many of the views that modern Democrats cling to, including: anti-parliamentarism, racism, collectivism, anti personal ownership of firearm rights, opposition to economic liberalism, political liberalism, and a conspiratorial view of finance capitalism. So yes they were terrible people, in desperate need of a bullet to the head for their war crimes, but your comparison to modern day Republicans is spurious at best.
I totally agree, 100%. We should read the Constitution AS IT WAS WRITTEN. You living document Liberals seek to destroy that document with your political correctness, and with attempts to read it with regard to those words you lament having their meanings changed.
Wow! George W ran up 10 TRILLION dollars in eight years!?! I've said it before, I'll say it again: History did not begin when W took office.
Oh, so it was okay when "Slick" William Clinton appointed judges that were sympathetic to the Liberal cause. Breyer and Ginsburg are totally middle of the road aren't they? And you say the right is growing more extreme... If those two are middle of the road, you're so far left, you must live in a commune!
ROFL!!!!! For what!?! You name the war crimes. Oh wait, there was that time Clinton sent some cruise missiles into Afghanistan when he was getting it on with Monica. Wag the Dog anyone? Whoops there also was that time a certain someone decided to perjur themselves in fromt of THE SENATE! Go ahead and leave your Hypocrisy at the door. Particularly when you're just giving lip service to leftist garbage I can get watching MSNBC. Oh, and all you Dems, please vote Hitlary! She is exactly what we need running under the Democrat banner! |

There were several meanings of the word "right" used in my previous response. I think the responses suggest that my original premise was right (correct). I tried not mention any party and full well realise that politics have become something other than what I was taught was good and proper for the benefit of most citizens' interests.
People who feel they are of the "right" party, tend to feel that their rights are violated by anyone with a view that they don't feel is "right".While defending their position they seem to forget that there can be two or more rights that could be considered right. Using your ideals as the only right makes all other's opinions go right over your head. I will offer 2 points: the word "You" was singular in response to the previous response. The 10 Trillion debt is a rounded up number and made no mention that only one person created it. Research does seem to show that the majority was run up during the years 1981-1993 and 2002-2008. Oddly I'm a liberal thinker with a rather conservative outlook , But then again with today's definitions that puts me in the wrong to most who feel they have to be "right". I've always supported every President, hoping for the best, until they prove my support "wrong" and my fears "right". And I will do the same for the next person in charge, given a chance, perhaps they will prove to be the right person for the job. Is that so wrong? ( rhetorical question) |

Cgh, I completely agree with you that politics have changed! It's night and day from what it was even as little as when I was young. (I'm a couple years past thirty) Nowadays the political landscape looks more like mountains on either side of a valley, than it did in years past when there were more centrists than anyone else.
The people are so politically divided now that a "Liberal" and a "Conservative" are so far extreme in their own personal views that they literally do not agree on anything! It's like they live in two seperate countries, both only associate with like minded people, and thus distill their views down to the point that both have gone beyond extremist, firmly landing in a place that can only be described as "Zealot." I fear that no matter who is elected nowadays is going to be an extremely polarizing figure with no more than 55% of the people backing them.
People of both parties share this outlook. I've noticed that both groups of people have a very difficult time even understanding that someone might have a viewpoint that differs even slightly from what they believe. I engaged in a very fiery debate with a group of very hardline conservatives just a few days ago on abortion. Before I go on, I am very pro choice. I say that women get to decide, and men don't get a say until men can get pregnant. (Note: This is not the place to debate Abortion for those of you that may wish to engage with me, thus I will not reply if you try. If you wish, make a new thread in the politics section and I'll be more than happy to engage you there.) Anyway, these individuals just could not grasp the fact that I could possibly have a different viewpoint than they did. It was literally as if I were speaking Mandarin to them! A better example is when you talk to your dog and he tilts his head trying to understand you, but he just can't. Though I could see where they were coming from, their eyes have been so closed to the possibility that anyone MIGHT think different they mentally could not accept that I even had the ability to think different! They had to take the coward's way out and tell me that I was condoning murder, instead of addressing the points I was making. Crazy thing is that a few days before Igot pats on the back for my defending gun rights and limited intrusion of government in our lives. Cgh, I think you and I inhabit the same part of the political landscape. I'm a Conservative thinker with a Liberal outlook, and yes I often find myself "wrong" for the simple fact that everyone around me has to be right. |

I think McCain will choose Huckabee as his V.P. You might not like Huckabee......but he deserves credit for running a great campaign He has done a lot with very little. In order for McCain to have any chance.......the Republicans will need the "Religious Right" to come forward and vote...like it or not!! It also looks like the clinton ship is starting to sink. She cried again tonight.........The tears are getting old....she is obviously trying to get the "Women vote" up. The truth is, if Obama.gets the nomination he will be hard to stop. McCain will be overmatched in any debate. |

Haha Gypsie! It'll be nice to see a presidential debate where the two nominees are actually intelligent enough to effectively debate each other.
In the last presidential debate I sat in total stunned silence watching two mental goliaths, George W and John Kerry go at each other. I couldn't, and still can't, believe that it was possible for that much stupidity to inhabit one building! At the very least without that building either instantly exploding or tearing a rift in spacetime! It almost happened during George Clooney's Oscar acceptance speech when he took credit for civil rights and the fight against AIDS... I figured that it'd be akin to what might happen if someone built a giant Lego block out of millions of little Lego blocks or if someone put non-dairy, powdered creamer in the microwave. Does anyone actually know what might happen? George Clooney would take credit for that one too, if Al Gore doesn't beat him to it. |

CBS news reporting that after winning Main tonight.....Obama leads in delegates including super delegates 1,134- 1,131........It's Obvious the Clintons never invisioned this happening. After Tuesday, Obama will increase his lead...in Delegates and total votes. It will be interesting to see who John Edwards endorses. If he endorses Clinton......he will somewhat look like a Hypocrite....since he espoused "Change" during his campaign. I'm still looking for a "suprise" against Obama.......... On March 4th the Clintons will have to pull out all stops in Ohio and Texas. It should be interesting! If Obama wins big on Tuesday......he will have the momentum! |

N.Y. Poat-OBAMA robbed in New york!
N.Y. Primary results were striningly under recorded in 80 districts leaving Obama with zero votes in these districs. Some of these districts were totally black. Of course Hillary's votes were counted in these Districts. Obama was robbbed of several "Delegates" .......now this is under investigation! The Clinton's will resort to any tactic to win. They have no shame!! If you don't believe me, watch their action and desperation in the coming weeks. Obama and his voters will be appalled on How the Clinton's will try to steal this election!! Good luck Obama! |

The way McCain is praising him every time he loses I wouldn't be surprised to see him chosen to run as VP, and I don't think it would be as damaging as you think. His views are shared by an awful lot of voters in this country, including his ridiculous opinions on the age of the Earth. |

There is an exciting new book that I highy recommend to my liberal friends.....it's sure to be a "Best Seller"....It's written by a Top Psychiatrist who's highly acclaimed!..........Title: "The Liberal Mind: The Psychological cause of Political Madness".......Dr. Rossiter says, the Liberal agenda preys on Weakness and feelings if inferiority in the population by......
1. Creating and reinforcing perceptions of victimization. 2.Satisfying claims to entitlement,Indulgence and compensation. 3.Augmenting primitive feelings of envy. 4.rejecting the sovereignty of the individual subordinating him to the will of the Government. "Which the modern liberal mind whines about imaginary victims, rages against imaginary villains and seeks above all else to run the lives of persons competent to run their own live. The neurosis of the Liberal mind becomes painfully obvious. ........sure to be a best seller! |

Not to wade into the political water to deeply. I hope.
I believe in a separation of chrch and state. Or it becomes a battle of who's beliefs do we follow, yours or mine. I believe people should have free choice most times. But there are times when the deregulations break down the laws and allow the crooks to rob the people and ruin the public lands and areas where the factories dump their wastes as well as allow greed to become rampant. I think the branding and labels that people have to tag on someone with a few different thoughts or beliefs than they have really hurt what America once stood for. Without the quick label, most people who have quite similar views , when you throw out the extremes on each side. I've read a story about the American Indians asking why if white man all read the same book (Bible) , why did they all have different ways to do things and tell them different things to do. I believe in a simplier things and not too much outside interference from others. But I want my government to act responsibly to the wishes of all people as best they can. I would feel victimized by the extremes on either side , But one side frightens me more, The side that plays tag the most. |

Yup, Carbon dating tells me that the Earth is several millions of times older than what those in the Church told me it is. Did they ever stop to think that a day to God is probably an indescribably long time to us? Thus if God took seven days to create the universe (Six then a rest) we're talking somewhere in the ballpark of some tens of billions of our years. If you read the Bible for yourself (And I highly recommend it, it's a great set of stories) you'll get a totally different message than you'd get if you just listened to however it is that your Priest (Or whatever they call themselves in your chosen religion) broke it down for you. I like religion, but dislike church. There *IS* a difference between the two. Further in modern bibles you're missing upwards of fourteen books of the bible. This means your'e getting not only a convoluted story through the revisions from King James, and the differences in languages from Hebrew to English, you're not getting the WHOLE story! You quite honestly could be getting a totally different message than was originally intended by God! I don't buy anything that the church puts out. It's all political anyway. I read the bible and took my own meanings from it's pages. I don't need someone else to read it and regurgitate what they want me to believe. I'm sorry Gypsy, but your comment made me think of some wacked out Nun telling me that books are the devil's work. |

You know Turboguy ....you are so full of yourself! I think a lot of cops are that way.....because they were picked on in High School.....I'm sure you've seen a lot of whacked out cops doing horrible things lately ( in the Press)!! I'm not against books at all.....I've learned a lot from books.....enough to make a helluva alot more money than a cop!! As for as the Bible!! The stories you talk about are believed by "FAITH" ......and it's obvious you know nothing about "King James" and his version! Have you ever heard of the "Dead Sea ScrolLS" ..the most important manuscripts ever found??? They validate and proof the authenticity of the Scriptures......"The Translations are not wrong""...... you've been watching the History Channel to much!!
As for calling me a whacked out nun......I'll meet you anywhere,Anyday that Badge means nothing to me!! Go write some traffic tickets, I sure your city needs the revenue! |

Turboguy....you sit here and talk about the church, the Bible and it's stories etc etc.
You talk as if you are an authority on "carbon Dating".....It seems you have all the answers!! The truth is Carbon Dating is accurate for "Specimans" which only date back several thousand years. Anything beyond that....and it's highly doubtful. In order to Carbon Date accuratley...we must know the ratio of Carbon 12 to carbon 14 that was in the enviroment at that time. Unfortunatley, the rate of carbon 12 to carbon 14 has yet to reach a state of equilibrium in our atmosphere. So it's impossible to carbon date the Earth!! |
