We're not going to refer people to the Panflu blog at this time.

Albert I am so sorry. I wasn't sure if it was something important. Thanks for fixing and taking the post away. I hope I am not in trouble.

No problem at all PregGirl, and of course you didn't do anything wrong. I appreciate your understanding. It's a long story why we prefer not to work with flublogia, as they call it. Besides, "blog? ... we aint no stinkin' blog". Other than that, we also have a history with some of the other participating sites. What can I say, we're the black sheep of the flu forums. Even though, of course, that AFT has done more to bring awareness to Panflu then all of the blogs, forums and pandemicflu.gov combined.

Not to change the subject, but we were thinking about adding some more animated flash work to the site. Maybe have some shooting stars or birds moving across the screen in the back ground. If anyone has any suggestions on what you would like to see added as an animated feature, feel free to let me know. Somebody even suggested having the two little girls from "The Shining" fade into the screen and to have them singing the old Rhyme "... In from the window flew a bird named Enza .... ". I was afraid that one might scare too many people off.

Hi Ro2935, no problem. We will make sure nothing is flashing. We're talking more about animation, but we will be sure to keep that in mind.

Albert,
How about a scrolling banner that reports new victims to bf. The country and the current status of up to date Reported cases of bf in humans and bf deaths in humans. And then at the end prepare now. PrepGirl |

Interesting idea PrepGirl. I like the idea of having the prepare now fade in.

Hi Albert, Be sure to consider that too many moving items may cut-out folks using dial-up because load times take too long. Perhaps a sticky section (read here first) might be something to consider for the animation) just a thought.

Good point Annie. The advertisements can be slow to load as well. We will test any new features on dial up first to make sure it doesn't slow anything down.
