The 2013 pilgrimage to Mecca begins in early September and ends by Thanksgiving. The "window" for MERS tracing of past contacts/probable transmission is now 2 weeks. These can be confirmed by reviewing the Saudi Arabian government's and the WHO's websites. The pilgrimage involves over 2 million people from throughout the world. This will be the advent of the worldwide spread of the MERS contagion. Recently, when I went to the local Rite-Aid to purchase off the shelf flu medication, which will not help in any respect with regards to MERS, I had to provide my date of birth and ID. My information was entered into the "cash register". This generic medication is being monitored. If you review the White House Executive Order date March 16, 2012, you will find that an outbreak of MERS can be determined to be a threat to national security and then the entire country will be altered in activation of the terms and conditions of this Executive Order and the Stafford Act.
