Widespread flu has been seen in Alabama, Alaska, Kansas, Louisiana, Massachusetts, New York, Pennsylvania, Texas, Virginia and Wyoming, according to the CDC's latest weekly flu advisory report, which covers the week ending December 21. The week before, just Alabama, Louisiana, New York and Texas reported widespread flu. According to the CDC, "widespread" means that more than half of the state's geographic regions, such as counties or parishes, are reporting flu cases. CNN reports that six states, Alabama, Louisiana, Mississippi, Missouri, Oklahoma and Texas, reported a high number of outpatient doctor's visits for flu-like symptoms. ------------- Long time lurker since day one to Member.
