I'd watch the states that had the worst breakouts last spring like NY, NJ, Michigan, etc. Covid likes those cool climates... CDC data shows only Georgia and Alabama rank below Texas in the percentage of residents receiving at least one vaccine dose. Texas' rate of 19%, which is tied with Tennessee, gets dwarfed by neighboring New Mexico, which leads all states at 30%. Don't get me wrong, I don't want to see numbers go up, It's just opening up FULL BORE,seems really insane, Even with 17%vaccination rate ..... You have to be aware that lifting the state mandate doesn't mean everything is wide open. Business's in Texas are still requiring masks, limiting capacity, etc. Just because a state has strict mandates, doesn't mean they are being enforced either.
