Unusual stories popping up about hemorrhagic fever. The Chan's are discussing, so most likely BS. This Story below is a translated story from Brazil https://www.romanews.com.br/cidade/estado-investiga-mortes-de-pacientes-por-hemorragia-apos-apresentarem/146211/ - https://www.romanews.com.br/cidade/estado-investiga-mortes-de-pacientes-por-hemorragia-apos-apresentarem/146211/
Further below is a similar story coming out of China. Someone mentioned two patients bleeding from the eyes in an ER in Dallas.
I don't know....
Health investigates deaths from hemorrhage of patients with flu syndrome in Cametá
04 JAN 2022 - 19H57 UPDATED 04 JAN 2022 - 21H07

On the afternoon of this Tuesday, 4th, a team from the Pará State Department of Public Health (Sespa) participated in a meeting with representatives of the Cametá City Hall, in the Lower Amazon region, to talk about the occurrence of deaths from pneumonia and hemorrhage of patients diagnosed with flu syndrome. In all, 10 deaths have been recorded so far.
The mayor of Cametá, Victor Cassiano, should announce in the coming hours, through a decree, security measures to try to contain the advances of the flu epidemic, which associated with covid-19 can be even more dangerous.
Health agencies suspect that these deaths are related to complications caused by the H3N2 variant of the influenza virus. After the deaths, samples were collected from eight victims and sent to the State Central Laboratory (Lacen), in Belém, for analysis. Most victims are young people between the ages of 18 and 30.
On Monday, the 3rd, the city hall confirmed eight deaths in the last few days at the Cametá Regional Hospital, after showing symptoms similar to those caused by the H3N2 variant. Today, 4, two more deaths with the same symptoms were disclosed on social media by family members.
According to the Municipal Health Department, patients died after the condition progressed to respiratory problems, pneumonia and heavy bleeding through the nose. The prefecture warned the population to avoid agglomerations.
In the city, the Regional Hospital and the Emergency Care Unit (UPA) are getting crowded, with patients in serious condition, with pneumonia and hemorrhage, but still without a final diagnosis of the disease.
In a note sent to Portal Roma News , Sespa confirms that it is investigating, together with the epidemiological surveillance of the municipality, cases of deaths in Cametá, whose samples passed through Lacen-PA and IEC, for the detection of respiratory viruses and other diseases such as dengue, yellow fever and leptospirosis.
In 2021, the state had recorded 248 deaths from Severe Acute Respiratory Syndrome. Period until March is considered seasonal for flu cases.
Pará has 154 confirmed cases of H3N2 so far, according to information from the State Department of Health (Sespa) released this Thursday (6). The agency explains that the analysis of cases is done on a sample basis, not a diagnosis, but an assessment of the weekly epidemiological scenario. Also according to Sespa, no cases of H1N1 were registered in 2021 and in the first days of 2022 .
The Municipal Health Department of Belém gave the first alert about an outbreak of flu in the capital on December 15, 2021, when it found that the health units were overcrowded.
Sespa later confirmed the H3N2 outbreak, as there was no record of the virus circulating in the state, and with the occurrence of a single case, according to the Epidemiological Surveillance, it became considered an outbreak.
After the first record of double infection by the flu and Covid-19 viruses in Brazil, attention in Pará was redoubled, since the period from November to March are considered seasonal for cases of flu. According to Sespa, for the time being there are no records of double infection in Pará.
Respiratory syndrome cases and deaths
Between November and December 2021 alone, approximately one thousand hospitalizations related to severe acute respiratory syndromes were observed in Pará.
In 2021, Pará recorded 248 deaths from Severe Acute Respiratory Syndrome (SARS), with three deaths in November and December.
In the city of Cametá, northeast of Pará, there are cases being investigated, but the Health Department did not say how many, only that so far there are four suspected cases of febrile hemorrhagic disease that are under laboratory and epidemiological investigation. There is no confirmation that it is H3N2 or Covid-19.

Yeah I have seen a few stories as well. I think the first one was out of Tianjin as it was locked completely down in late Dec. Now China has 20 million on lock down supposedly as a result of Omnicron. Hard to know with the Chinese what is actually going on.

Good find Cobber. Hemmoraghic fever is a scary one. It reoccurred throughout the middle ages in Europe and was a real killer. There's never been a good explanation as to why it stopped coming back.
------------- Those who got it wrong, for whatever reason, may feel defensive and retrench into a position that doesn’t accord with the facts.

China is desperately trying to keep Omicron from Beijing where it would interfere with the Olympics. That's why there's such harsh crack-downs.

Hemorrhagic Covid...
Im reading that reports of Hemorrhagic Covid has been conflated with conjunctivitis.
There has actually been a decreased incidence of acute hemorrhagic conjunctivitis. Health intervention during COVID-19 has reduced the prevalence in China.
