Ok so weird things happening....saturday i saw a video of an outbreak somewhere in China and there were hundreds of people walking in a rows in full Virus gear.  Then when I tried to show it to my husband, I couldn't find it.  Did anyone else see that?  Then today I see this article:

https://www.yahoo.com/news/china-reports-327-confirmed-coronavirus-014937187.html - https://www.yahoo.com/news/china-reports-327-confirmed-coronavirus-014937187.html

So there is one maybe two outbreaks in China and they may or may not be trying to censor information about them.  Weird right?

Domestically transmitted COVID-19 infections on the Chinese mainland have soared to more than 500 with 214 confirmed cases and 312 asymptomatic cases respectively, the highest since 2020.

The 214 confirmed cases are scattered in 13 provinces across the country, most of whom are from south China’s Guangdong Province (69), northeast China’s Jilin Province (54), east China’s Shandong Province (46) and north China’s Hebei Province (9), according to data accumulated by the National Health Commission on Monday.

A look at https://www.worldometers.info/coronavirus/ or https://www.worldometers.info/coronavirus/ - https://www.worldometers.info/coronavirus/ indicating Hong Kong did see 25,150 new cases yesterday-march 7, 280 deaths. China reporting 327 new cases. DJ-China defines "a case" as someone with symptoms...not as someone with a positive test. If they would also have their own definition of CoViD death it may explain why China is not reporting CoViD deaths for months...In their way of thinking people die from the infections-and damage it does to organs-so Chinese CoViD-deaths died from lung, kidney, hearth faillure...(UK, Russia so far-as I know of-use 28 days "limit" between a positive test and CoViD-death...also excluding thousends of CoViD deaths...).

A look at trends; China cases +28%, last 7 days 1,776 - the week before 1,385. Hong Kong cases +244%...300,303 last 7 days 87,365 the week before...HK deaths +263% last 7 days 1,348-week before 371...Macao-once a Portugese colony on the coast of China-now also part of China reporting 1 case last 7 days...-50% so 2 cases the week before...

(I leave Taiwan aside 407 cases last 7 days, 426 the week before so -4% )

DJ-https://www.coronaheadsup.com/coronavirus/hong-kong-nine-day-lockdown-expected/ or https://www.coronaheadsup.com/coronavirus/hong-kong-nine-day-lockdown-expected/ - https://www.coronaheadsup.com/coronavirus/hong-kong-nine-day-lockdown-expected/   China is facing the worst part of this pandemic since the start-over 2 years ago. Most likely the HK form of BA.2 will be spreading in China as well...

My impression is that it may be impossible to contain it in China...eventhough it also may be priority #1....
