DJ No idea how "official" this is....https://twitter.com/DurianLiftOff/status/1500873483416633345/photo/3 or https://twitter.com/DurianLiftOff/status/1500873483416633345/photo/3 - https://twitter.com/DurianLiftOff/status/1500873483416633345/photo/3

https://www.coronaheadsup.com/asia/hong-kong/hong-kong-omicron-ba-2-with-si1221t-mutation-designated-ba-2-2/ or https://www.coronaheadsup.com/asia/hong-kong/hong-kong-omicron-ba-2-with-si1221t-mutation-designated-ba-2-2/ - https://www.coronaheadsup.com/asia/hong-kong/hong-kong-omicron-ba-2-with-si1221t-mutation-designated-ba-2-2/ at least links BA.2.2 to Hong Kong (DJ-I believed BA.2.1 would be linked to DenmarK not UK...BA.2.3 Philippines...cases +1%, deaths +4%...so may be just started there...)...

DJ-Very likely more BA.2 subvariants are around...TMN names Brazil, Cambodia and Thailand as likely to have their own BA.2 subvariants...

https://outbreak.info/location-reports?loc=IND or https://outbreak.info/location-reports?loc=IND - https://outbreak.info/location-reports?loc=IND BA.2 at 93%...so in my understanding BA.2 in India very likely could see new sub-variants....India cases -40% (but if testing is "limited" numbers may not be the best indicator...).

Omicron changed this pandemic...(extreme) high spread BA.2 30% higher then BA.1 ...BA.2.2 would spread even 45% more then BA.1...A very likely next step could be increase in viral loads...the "drive" in the virus is to create as many virusses as it can...(step 1=high infection, step 2=increasing viral load) ....resulting in more severe disease...
