   For those with Tamiflu  please be reminded that Probenicid is a medication used to inhibit certain medications transport out of the kidneys and into the urine. It seems to about double the concentration of the tamiflu and may be the means to augment your scant stores of tamiflu. It also stores for about five years and is less expensive than tamiflu

	I chose not to buy Tamiflu because they said the virus is mutating so raidly it may not even work by the time it goes H2H. What do you think???

	Purim, I have Probenesid, so I'm not arguing, but when we post a recommendation, it's best to give a citation as to why it's recommended. Probenesid is not a free ride, everything has a cost to body. BTW: I love your name! SZ Edited by SophiaZoe

	Hi SophiaZoe--can you tell me a little more about Probenecid? What is it? Does it require and RX? What are the side effects? Has it been shown to increase the levels of Tamiflu in the body? 	Rotro, Yes it does require a scrip. I got mine over the internet though, so I bypassed that little roadblock. It slows the secretion of medicine out of the body. It was first used in WWII to extend the supply of antibiotics on the battle field. Being a relatively new prodoct there wasn't that much around so they had to be creative with what antibiotics they did have. Probenicid has a long history of reasonably safe usage. The idea of mixing it with your Tamiflu usage is to be able to effectively double your dosage yield without having to double your dosage. Given the very limited supply of Tamiflu and the likely short supply of antibiotics during a pandemic Probenicid seemed like a win-win to me. But anyone considering this option MUST research it for themselves to determine if it is right for their circumstances. What I find an acceptable risk may not be to you. Remember: KNOWLEDGE IS POWER.
